2021年8月18日，五条人乐队出版了史诗性双专辑。你中有我，我中有你，孪生双击，阴阳合璧，《活鱼逆流而上，死鱼随波逐流》是阳，《一半真情流露，一半靠表演》是阴。
所谓史诗，不是英雄史诗，不是偶像纪历，它由一个个个体的命运构成。
新冠时期的恋曲，内卷时代的见证，下沉世界 的挽歌。
《一半真情流露，一半靠表演》由摩登天空旗下传奇另类厂牌BADHEAD出品，是五条人乐队的第9张专辑，也是继《县城记》、《一些风景》、《广东姑娘》、《梦幻丽莎发廊》、《故事会》、《活鱼逆流而上，死鱼随波逐流》之后的第7张录音室专辑。这张专辑大部分曲目创作于2020—2021年，在2021年年初完成前期录音，在夏天完成后期制作。其中，《塑料花》是与梅卡德尔乐队的合作作品。
除了茂涛和仁科，参与专辑录制的主要成员还有：鼓手苗长江、贝斯陈创远、管乐张梦。
这张专辑显露了五条人不按常理出牌的天马行空的另类本色，它以怪诞、奇诡、乃至悲壮的方式，去表达另一种隐秘的爱，潮来潮去，翻云覆雨，在大时代的码头别离。

Bleachers have returned with fellow New Jerseyan Bruce Springsteen for the new single “Chinatown.”
Directed by Carlotta Kohl, the video for the song features Antonoff wearing a shirt that says “Welcome to New Jersey, now go home.” Springsteen appears near the three-minute mark as the duo ride off in a Cadillac down the highway. “I wanna find tomorrow/Yeah I wanna find tomorrow with you baby,” they sing in unison.
In addition, the band also dropped the single “45.” Both songs will be included on an upcoming album slated for 2021.
“‘Chinatown’ starts in NYC and travels to New Jersey,” Antonoff said in a statement. “That pull back to the place I am from mixed with terror of falling in love again. Having to show your cards to someone and the shock when you see them for yourself. Thinking you know yourself and where you are from ….having to see yourself through somebody who you want to stay.”
“I started to write this song with these ideas ringing in my head,” he continued. “To further understand who you are pushes you to further understand where you are from and what that looks and sounds like. There are pieces in that that are worth carrying forever and pieces worth letting die. ‘Chinatown’ and ’45’ are both the story of this — ‘Chinatown’ through someone else, ’45’ through the mirror. As for Bruce, it’s the honor of a lifetime to be joined by him. He is the artist who showed me that the sound of the place I am from has value and that there is a spirit here that needs to be taken all over the world.”
Bleachers’ new album follows 2017’s Gone Now. Antonoff has spent the last few years as a producer, contributing to Taylor Swift’s Folklore and the Chicks’ Gaslighter. He produced Lana Del Rey’s Norman Fucking Rockwell! as well as her upcoming LP Chemtrails Over the Country Club.

On his third solo album, Jack Antonoff ends up splitting his time between careful rock songwriting and carefree pop singing, leaving a minor impression of both.

当离别终于成为再次相见的理由，记忆的底片也将被时间再度冲洗为彩色。
“我们是一支来自20年前的武汉乐队。从1999年到2019年，抱歉失联了这么久。”去年7月，达达乐队四人分别14年后首度同台，声音略微颤抖的彭坦百感交集，和等待多年的乐迷们再次相聚，让他恍惚人生重来。
从当年的不辞而别，到如今的重组回归，这首新作已经让我们等了太久。
时间倒回到2000年的夏天，四个男孩离开家乡武汉，踏上了去往北京的列车，这一年，彭坦22岁。曾经那个水果湖边骑着单车的少年不会想到，此后他们将会背负如此传奇的履历：首支签约全球五大唱片的内地摇滚乐队；发布首张专辑便横扫15项音乐大奖，创造了内地流行音乐史上摇滚唱片销量奇迹；突破摇滚乐圈层进入主流市场，为多个国际品牌代言……
种种成就背后，不为人知的巨大挣扎也在悄然聚积。彼时的达达在自我与现实的极度失衡中迎来了他们的「黄金时代」，“就像身上粘着一张撕不开扯不断的网”。

单曲MV中，乐队四人回到家乡武汉，那是一切开始的地方，封存的记忆似乎被再次打开，东湖岸边、市井码头……他们沿着少年时行走的印迹，同赴这一场迟来的约定，“只为了上一次再见”。当彼此的心再跟随统一的节拍跳动在相同的频率，回忆的黑白也与现实再度重叠为彩色，那一刻，时间依然鲜艳如初。
当彭坦唱出“多么虚幻的枷锁，多么真实的生活”，那副被岁月打磨过的声线中，依旧掩藏着那股未曾磨灭的少年心气。熟悉的明朗气息在旋律中再度荡开，又显现出更加鲜明的层次。编曲多了几分娓娓道来的松弛，其后镶嵌着温暖的重量，仿佛时光凝固后散落的颗粒，揉进生活行进中的顿挫。
达达曾是一代人青春的佐证，它张扬不羁，又热切诚挚，汹涌而来，又悄然别去，正如所有人的少年时代。岁月的更迭纵然可以改变一切，但彭坦、吴涛、魏飞、张明四人，始终在音乐中守护的那份不消不减的天真，依旧可以穿越时间的浪潮，抵达我们内心。
乐队将《再.见》的英文歌名译作“See You Again”，这个临别前的专用词汇，在达达的解读中，成为一种面向未来的期许，不再意味着结束与告别，它是另一个新的开始。

有天晚上，阿华叔叔骑电瓶车载我去兜风，路过拐角的时候指着一家牛杂面馆说这家牛杂份量特别足，我已经吃了二十年了，但月底就要转让给一家连锁奶茶店了，我平时都在家里做饭，在外面唯一想吃的只有这家，他问我“你说我们是不是也要被淘汰掉了？” 这一天，Leonard Cohen 辞世正好一年。

Sleeping Dogs, a band wins the reputation by almost word of mouth. They appear to be sloppy while indeed put the most earnest effort to make music, always presenting what's beyond expectations.
nehcetep, a rather shy producer, whose image has been dimmed by too many aliases, left only with his work including some lo-fi cassettes and vinyl records. It's hard to tell if anyone really knows him.

The collaboration of the EP "Petedogs" was urged by Eating Music back in 2019. By then Sleeping Dogs was only recognized by few listeners on streaming platform Xiami and fRUITYSPACE in Beijing, having several demos recorded. Eating Music suggested nehcetep to make remix tracks for them, hoping to bring the band out in that summer. Being put off till now, while with no harm, tracks "Spring of Rio", "Kweichow", and "Homeless Dog" have been improved for better recording and making with growing experiences. ahmooow, friend of nehcetep's, was invited to play saxophone for remix / edit tracks. The record label needs no worry about the sales anymore to release vinyl records, thriving for everyone.

The record design achieves excellence by the delay. Releasing specially designed 10" vinyl records and pressing six tracks to be small but... sophisticated.

All the effort is finally paid back in full, and the spring is being joyful.
The Making of EP:
In the summer of 2019, band members squeezed in the tiny basement for rehearsal. A Yong from Future Orients recorded and roughly mixed track 1-3 for Sleeping Dogs. After moving, a few more audio tracks were added. These three tracks should be the very first studio recordings by Sleeping Dogs. nehcetep made remix for tracks 4-6, took over a year to finish while those should be done in 2019.

Sleeping Dogs is an instrumental band from Beijing. Influenced by all kinds of grooving styles, blending different elements into their instrumental performance.

ahmooow, a 24-year-old boy who learns saxophone himself and takes Wayne Shorter, Pharoah Sanders as models.
Sleeping Dogs，一支不加修饰仅凭口耳相传而存在的好乐队，常以自由散漫的形象掩盖认真搞一些作品的事实，成果总能高出大家的期待一点点。
nehcetep，一个羞涩又自我的制作人，太多的化名让他的形象一次次模糊在创作里，留下了一些值得考古研究的低保真小卡带和响度总是不够大的黑胶，很难说有谁真正认识他。
《Petedogs》EP 的合作由宜听音乐在 2019 年撺掇发起，当时的睡狗只有几个粉丝在虾米和北京的水果空间现场，有几首还过得去的 demo，在宜听的建议下，凑上了小有口碑的 nehcetep 来为这几首作品加码 remix，想着作为一个不入流的制作人厂牌也许能借此机会在当年的夏天捧红什么乐队一脚飞天。当然拖延是有好处的，现在的“Spring of Rio”、“Kweichow”、“Homeless Dog”成品随着乐队经费水平的提升有了更好的录音版本和后期，几个 remix / edit 版本还请到了 nehcetep 的好友 ahmooow 加入萨克斯演奏，厂牌也不再担心销量可以大胆发黑胶，均展示出了欣欣向荣的气息。
这张等一等更优质的 EP 封面和唱片设计也丝毫不含糊，随 EP 发布的十寸黑胶以开放式装帧传递六首作品本身追求自由又小具精良的风格。
总之等待是有收获的，春天是值得享受的。
关于创作：
2019 年夏天，睡狗还挤在炎热潮湿的地下室里排练，邻居 Future Orients 的阿勇为睡狗录制和粗混了 Track 1-3，之后睡狗搬家，又补录了一部分音轨，这三首歌算是睡狗最早的正经录音。nehcetep 为这几首歌做了 Remix（Track 4-6）。本来19年底就该做好的三首 remix tracks 足足做了一年多，做好睡狗都搬排练室了，原因是太能拖了，现在正在接受电击治疗。

睡狗 Sleeping Dogs 是一支来自北京的器乐乐队。受各种律动型音乐影响，将不同的音乐成分混合到器乐之中。

劳动之余 何以解乏 很久以前做过一次西南巡演 当时的巡演主题名就叫劳动之余 ，那还是更早些年的一首歌 ，到今天也没能完成它，记忆深刻的是歌词的第一句 《回家的路上我有些疲倦 毕竟辛勤工作了一天 才挣回一点属于自己的时间 ，该怎么花？》现在还能不时会闪回黄昏回家的小路上的饭菜的香味，安全帽，臭水沟，小茶馆，那里离市中心也就几公里，后来的快二十年 ，城市就像一个不断膨胀的迷宫。可笑的是那时的我虽然还是会感到迷茫和孤独，但依然觉得自己有花不完的时间，而且还不上班，所以接下来的矫情和纠结就这样粗糙青涩的留在了硬盘上。 这次的专辑里最后完成的那首歌是临了倒计时才定稿了最后一版歌词，反复的斟酌也许是因为只有自己能懂和喜欢已经不重要了 ，就像做菜，如何能和别人分享才是我最想要的 ，用了二十年方才明白音乐于我的意义，如同烈日下耕作的农夫，土地已然是他唯一的救赎，而我局限于自己的世界，差一点忘记了仰望星空。

《不见不散》《雌雄同体》《金色大街》《虚弱》《八月爱人》《HOSEE》这几首，是五月天初出茅庐的时候，拿着这几首的demo带去了滚石。
这三首起先都没有收录进任何的专辑中，只是会在每次演出时表演，后来因为《雌雄同体》实在太受欢迎才收录入了《时光机》。
而《不见不散》的由来其实是两部电影，“不见”是蔡明亮，“不散”是李康生。
