如果用色彩来形容“达明一派”所有专辑的话，那么这张专辑肯定是最粉红的。而黄耀明的名字更是破天荒的首次出现在作曲人的一栏里，虽然只有一首《忘记他是她》，但在从容又恬淡的旋律中释放出的雍容华贵却着实让人一听就入迷，黄耀明根基不厚但感觉特别到位的嗓音加上他细腻、内敛加阴柔的作曲手法运用，确实能让人感觉到一种兼具草根性与古典华丽气质于一体的特性。不过，仔细听来，黄耀明的作曲方式其实很明显也是师承于刘以达，毕竟合作和学习了这么多年，在创作时灵感的浮现也自然而然地散发出了老搭档的味道。这张专辑和之前所有专辑不同的是它定位于一个爱欲的基调，情情爱爱的主题，虽然在香港乐坛和世界各地有音乐的地方都是最普通、最平常不过的主题，但用探究欲望的形式挖掘情感背后的世界时，雅和俗的差距立马也就显现了出来。所谓俗中见雅也最能见真章，当情欲上升到爱滋病话题这样的“高度”时，《爱在温疫蔓延时》里末世的凄美也更直指人的心肺。在这张专辑里，刘以达还大量引用了欧洲地区的民族音乐，如《天花乱坠》里的西班牙风情，以及其它作品里洋溢着的从爱琴海、地中海传来的气息，此时的刘以达，显然完成成了一个真正可以甩开膀子由着性子大干的成熟音乐人，他对“发电站”(Kraftwerk)的编曲手法及音色运用的学习也划上了圆满的句号。从此后，乐坛也终于少了一个往死里研究电子音程组合的偏执音乐人而多了一个真正做到信手而拾皆是乐的感性创作艺人
