John Williams has done a masterful job in his musical presentation of Minority Report. The plot and story find their roots in the combination of American film noir and the classic "whodunit" mysteries that were so popular in the era of Humphrey Bogart and filmmaker John Huston. John Williams and I have often marveled at the way Bernard Herrmann was able to contribute so much musical suspense to an Alfred Hitchcock picture. So in that tradition of mystery, suspense and film noir, John has fashioned a fast-paced, yet dark portrait of America in the year 2054 when the murder of one human being by another can foretold through the miraculous gifts of three precognitives. Unlike our other collaborations, John's score for Minority Report is not lush with melody; it is nonetheless brilliant in its complexity and forceful in its rhythms. It is the kind of music that will start in your spine and eventually find its way to your heart in the section titled "Sean's Theme." If most of John's scores for my films have been in color, I think of this score as his first one in black and white. But as in most of John's music quite often you don't need the pictures to understand the musical story that John is telling you. After all, John Williams is the greatest musical storyteller the world of movies has ever known.

Miramax Films presents The Brothers Grimm-a classic fantasy fable from master filmmaker Terry Gilliam. Folklore collectors and con artists, Jake and Will Grimm, travel from village to village pretending to protect townsfolk from village to village from enchanted creatures and performing exorcisms. The Brothers Grimm features a wonderful orchestral score from composer Dario Marianelli. Written in the tradition of a magical/fantasy orchestral symphony, Dario playfully leads the audience through this compelling and spectacular adventure.

Sounds of Silence is an album by Simon and Garfunkel, released on January 17, 1966. The album's title is a slight modification of the title of the duo's first major hit, " The Sounds of Silence", which was released previously on the album Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M., and also on the soundtrack to the movie The Graduate. It was taken from their debut and electric instruments and drums were overdubbed by Bob Dylan's studio band on June 15, 1965 and released in September 1965 as a single. "Homeward Bound" was released on the album in the UK. It was also released as part of the box set Simon & Garfunkel Collected Works, on both LP and CD.

Gone Girl Soundtrack (aka Gone Girl - Soundtrack From The Motion Picture) was scored by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for David Fincher's film Gone Girl, which is adapted from the bestselling novel by Gillian Flynn. This is the third soundtrack that Reznor and Ross have worked on together, preceded by The Social Network Soundtrack and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Soundtrack, also for David Fincher.

For the soundtrack to writer-director Darren Aronofsky's long-awaited sci-fi epic, The Fountain, Kronos Quartet reunites with composer Clint Mansell. The had previously collaborated on the haunting score for Aronofsky's Requiem For A Dream.
