如果你锻炼的目的是减肥,那么本书适合你。作者用研究和数据表明,撸铁比有跑步跳绳游泳之类的有氧运动更能有效持久的减肥。本书分三部分。第一部分论证撸铁这种力量训练是比跑步游泳这类的有氧运动更适合减肥减重。在历数了有氧运动的坏处和力量训练的好处之后,用了三章的篇幅介绍在开始力量训练之前要先了解的术语知识,体能状态的测试,以及器械,和精神上的准备。第二部分是从易到难的三个训练计划,都是利用简单器械在家就可以做的。每周60分钟训练。最后一部分,谈训练相关的饮食,休息。本书没能说服我放弃跑步,但是说服了我在跑步之上加上些力量训练。书中关于自建家庭健身房的器材购买建议我很认同。
