如果把摇滚乐爱好者死前必听唱片排名的话，这张一定是在前十名，错过它将是一生遗憾！2012年纪录片首次揭秘Pink Floyd的经典专辑《Wish You Were Here》(纪念Syd Barrett)的幕后故事。《Wish You Were Here》是Pink Floyd献给他们乐团的第一任吉他手兼主唱Syd Barrett的。他在录制完他们的第一张专辑The Pipers at the Gates of Dawn之后便因紧张性精神分裂症而离团从事个人音乐活动，之后就黯然消失在舞台了。这首Wish You Were Here更是淋漓尽致地表达了乐队成员对他的怀念之情。

导演斯科特·希克斯于2005年著手记录这位传奇音乐大师，长达18个月的时间，跟随葛拉斯的脚步横越三大洲，首度揭露葛拉斯极度私密的创作历程、家庭生活，与追求身心灵合谐的乐活精神，引领我们一窥这位令人赞叹又充满谜样色彩的音乐家的生活点滴。
幕后制作
《格拉斯十二乐章》片名取材自菲利普·格拉斯的1970年代简约主义音乐Music in Twelve Parts，以十二个段落透视现代音乐巨擘菲利普·格拉斯的创作观、工作、家庭生活、朋友、身心平衡的追求、他的过去和现在。导演斯科特·希克斯于2005年着手记录，长达18个月贴身拍摄，超过120小时的画面，持续七个月的后制，呈现菲利普·格拉斯的生活切面和价值观。导演斯科特以被拍摄者菲利普·格拉斯主述，如同超写实主义画家查克罗斯“马赛克肖像画”以局部单位拼贴全貌。斯科特·希克斯说：“我是以非常个人主观的方式偷窥这位享誉全球的艺术家。这并非一部必恭必敬的辉煌生涯回顾录，因为电影并非关于真实，而是在乎情感。”《格拉斯十二乐章》的真情至性让人感动。
天才总是能游刃有余于自己感兴趣的事物，领悟力强，对自已所信奉的价值十分固执。音乐专才的同事说，菲利普·格拉斯并非简约主义音乐的第一把交椅，同期还有更受到瞩目的极简主义音乐家。从《格拉斯十二乐章》里的纪录片段，观众得知，未受到乐坛、大众肯定前的菲利普·格拉斯在1970年代的纽约苏活区度过好长一段辛苦的日子。为了兴趣和理想，他必须忍受观众不认同他的音乐时，脱口的咆啸。有时一场演出，只有六个观众欣赏，即便如此，菲利普·格拉斯从未改变初衷，继续坚持谱写脑海浮现的音乐，与人分享。他前卫的乐风受到古典乐坛的讽刺和排挤，他索性在公园、画廊……等非正式的场合演出。那段日子虽苦，但也呼应了1970年代纽约苏活区的丰沛创造力。直至《沙滩上的爱因斯坦》意外大获好评，格拉斯的音乐渐被肯定。
影片中，菲利普·格拉斯的妻子，了解音乐之于丈夫的意义，这样说：“音乐是他与人沟通的方式，音乐是他的语言，他喜欢与人分享。”菲利普·格拉斯的第三任妻子，十分尊重他的音乐创作，然而，丈夫对于音乐全然的投入，也累积了某种程度的抱怨。透过镜头，我们看到一个音乐人的妻子擒着泪水，向镜头诉说，彼此心中的远景并不相同，流露心中的难受。菲利普·格拉斯对于音乐的投入可见一般。格拉斯朋友说，菲利普的音乐很简单，这些音符不断地向上攀升，直入天际。往后菲利普·格拉斯参与电影配乐的频率越来越高，他的音乐仿佛有着某种识别系统，一听就知道是“菲利普·格拉斯”的。影片中菲利普·格拉斯描述写作对于他某位朋友的意义，他说，写作之于朋友而言，既是一种逃避也是寄托，是他平衡自己的方式。

导演侯季然以《书店里的影像诗》记录全台湾共40家独立书店样貌，今年8月将出版成书《书店本事》。
《书店里的影像诗》为4月18日上档的偶像剧《巷弄里的那家书店》延伸作品，4月7日起在奇摩影音首播，以各3分钟呈现40家书店，全长120分钟。
侯季然表示每家老板个性、风格也不同，他的拍摄手法也跟着变动，像拍了40部不同的短片。有的聚焦老板个人魅力，如『水平书局』老板曾大福边按计算机算折扣、边絮絮滔滔跟客人聊天推销书；『新手书店』老板郑宇庭只陈列100本书，每周汰换，书目都是他想推荐给「新手读者」的作品。有的则诉说动人故事，如台东的『晃晃书店』，店名来自一只因失聪而走路摇晃的猫，后来晃晃车祸丧生，伤心的老板罗素萍广邀客人寄回拍过的晃晃照片等。
侯季然笑称：“拍完才知开书店是辛苦、一点也不浪漫的行业，也庆幸这些书店为连锁店满街的台湾保留了文化多样性。”

The result is an amazing snapshot of computer history, capturing the people that worked on it, the first internal beta test, the moment Jamie Zawinski uploaded the first builds publicly, the launch party, the all-hands meeting announcing the AOL acquisition, and so much more. It aired on PBS nationally in March 2000, the same month as the beginning of the dot-com collapse.

This movie is a selection from many hours of footage produced before and during the music festival that was to accompany "The Rumble in the Jungle" - the heavyweight championship fight between Ali and Foreman in '74. The festival was meant to bring the American soul/r&b/funk/blues musicians "back home" to Africa and give them the opportunity to perform alongside African stars, such as Miriam Makeba. The movie is centered on James Brown, the main star of the three-day festival. It is more about the event as such, its "technical" background, than about schoolbook history. Even then, it leaves a lot of ambiguities open for the viewers to see. We hear Ali comment on the peaceful life Zairians lead while American blacks are ever threatened by accidents or (white) hatred. But this peaceful life is controlled by the government that urges the people to love their dictator. Although this movie doesn't deal with the political tensions involved in this Zairian sojourn, the implications are there. One thing that some viewers might not like is that "Soul Power" leaves little room for the African artists, focusing instead on the American greats like Brown or B.B. King. Another is that it's so short - King has only one feature, Brown has no more than three. At the Berlin IFF (Berlinale), the director (or editor, as the movie is simply made up of footage produced over 30 years ago) explained that he couldn't afford more than he did; also, some of the performances at the festival were of lower quality. As it is, the songs that we hear in "Soul Power" are beautifully shot - and finely recorded. At any rate, this movie is worth watching. It's interesting and it's funny. Go see for yourself! The 2-part feature-length documentary "25 ze šedesátých aneb Československá nová vlna" ("25 from the Sixties, or Czechoslovak New Wave") presents a complex view of the phenomenon of Czech and Slovak New Wave in the cultural and social context of the 60's. 25 fundamental films commented on by their makers and film historians offer the viewer a dramatic insight into the golden era of Czechoslovak cinema.
The documentary is a follow-up on the biographical TV series "Zlatá šedesátá" (Czech Television, 2009), based on the filmmakers' personal remembrances. As opposed to the series, the documentary presents the Czech and Slovak cinema of the 60's in the national, international and also inter-generational context. It describes the ways the New Wave crossed the existing artistic boundaries, how it variegated the world cinema and where it left an ineffaceable impression. It analyses the work of filmmakers in a state-funded cinema, under the pressure of ideological demands on one hand and commerce on the other. It presents the dilemma of a man - an artist - on the edge between contradictory social systems and incongruous aesthetic requirements. The existential drama of a man acting freely and at the same time mercilessly crushed by the wheels of the system.
The 60's are, from this point of view, mostly an era of fortunate historical constellation, not only in - at that time - Czechoslovakia, but on a world-wide scale. An era of expectations and upswing, but also an era of exemplary human decisions and artistic pursuit. Those are some of the things "25 ze šedesátých aneb Československá nová vlna" wants to commemorate.
