One of the world's most revered and mysterious electronic acts, Boards of Canada re-emerge from the ether with "The Campfire Headphase" their first album since 2002's mystic "Geogaddi". "The Campfire Headphase" will satiate the groups massive, rabid fanbase. This is classic Boards of Canada touched with acid-drenched folk music, atmospheric dissonance, deceptively tough alien beats and mindbending melodic creations.

很久没接触后摇相关的东西，前两年独立和后摇大红，在国内网络上以各种形态被人们讨论的那段时光我好像并没在着意聆听相关音乐。那时候对沉静的音氛还没有太多深究感知的耐心，接受纯数码格式而无实物形式的媒体文件也还不是我的擅长。所幸在听到的动静还局限于那一百来张CD的时候我已逐渐养成了努力扩大资讯来源的习惯。对于后摇的关注便从那时开始保持了下来。
印象中后摇的东西大多以吉他为绝对主导乐器，配以某种给人雷同之感的编排与旋律后再低调地包装，放送。这是肤浅可笑的偏见我知道，源于我听音时的不够投入和耐心，但诸如此类的偏见对我近几年来对音乐的选择却产生了很大的影响。很多好音乐因此而错过，这其中不乏优秀的后摇作品。
那么何谓优秀？如《Rivers Arms》般在聆听之初便让我冷静放松下来的便是。
轻松温柔的编曲，没什么激烈的桥段，也沾不上竭尽全力折腾着抒情的边儿。几种乐器编排得不紧不慢，内敛美好。在受过良好古典音乐训练这一背景下，乐队营造出的这般流畅感觉显得理所当然。
新古典主义中惯常的钢琴表现在这张唱片中重现，还有适时加入的提琴，令这张器乐唱片奏出了我心中melody的模样。其实没那么伟大，但每当这种也许是歪打正着的音响传出，我都乐此不疲地被感动，从不厌倦。
我承认自己已经很久没有认真的做一件事情，哪怕是呼吸。我做不到把注意力安静地集中在某个事物上并坚持。也很少能够花费漫长的历程把心窗打开，把美好的事物放进去。但在这种清澈的Acoustic下任何不安躁动的想法都会被本能抑制。心中掠过的是不明亮的阳光、暗色发青的天空和残云、大光圈所能摄入的模糊远景以及露水划过草尖的快速重放。于是我只想躺在这般天空的阴影之下，什么都不去思考不去烦躁，认真的当一棵植物。关心根茎，关心阳光和水，关心所有在我身旁静态的所在。

“One day at home”发行于2006年，风格属于迷幻电子音乐。
当你最初涉足电子音乐的时候，也许不太适应这种以气氛和节拍为主而以主唱为辅的音乐吧，当然，这都不重要，关键是那支乐队是你的入门乐队，如果你选择saycet，那么至少你会对这种风格音乐产生浓厚兴趣，并且会去搜索相似风格的乐队，这样的效果，可以说是不错的，这张专辑的封面很有意思，第一看的时候，看了很久都没看出来画的是个什么，原来是描绘的凭空臆想的意境，而它的色调又透露着些许冷艳。
这张专辑从制作上来讲绝对是一张上乘之作，细腻的鼓机切片，冷艳迷幻的气氛，再加上轻描淡写的主唱的声线，三者浑然一体，整体感极佳，无论是trip-hop乐迷还是独立摇滚乐迷，这张专辑都可以让你得到满足。
法国这样一个国度，有着这世界上最浪漫的情怀，大家也许对bossa nova更了解，但是当你听到这支来自法国巴黎的电子乐队saycet的歌曲，你会发现，法国人绝对也擅长制造这种冰冷的美丽的电子音乐。

Portland's Grails return with their first studio album since 2004's "Redlight". An increased interest in psychedelic, ambient, and world music is most likely to blame for the group's exploration of the lesser-traveled paths of modern music. In addition, their eclectic range of collaborative endeavors - guitarist Zak Riles is also in M. Ward's band, while drummer Emil Amos has moonlighted as Jandek's drummer - has introduced an element of improvisation and reinterpretation of ideas that's both brilliant and earnest.

epic45 are a British indie/post-rock band. Core members Rob Glover and Benjamin Holton, who grew up in Wheaton Aston, Staffordshire, formed the band in 1995 when the two school friends were only 13 years old.

With the right amount of chance, sometimes you fall upon wonderful people creati ng equally wonderful music. It’s the kind of encounter that makes having a netlabel worthwhile.
‘Suspended in light’ is Montrealer Lyndsie Alguire’s debut lp. It is a sweet affair : her piano melodies are like tiny footsteps in the snow as she creates scenes for departures and catching up.
The optimism emanating from this album is nothing short of overwhelming; Lyndsie reminds us that hope prevails over everything.

This brings us to the here and now with their 5th album Hy-brasil. For Hy-Brasil the band is back to the core duo of Mike Ystad and Chris Schafer. The absence of Mike Rush's guitars have left enough open space for the duo to explore more visceral sometimes 'Vangelian' synthwork, warm emotive cello passages and more dexterous electronic beat workouts. From the opening track onward each composition on Hy-Brasil twists and turns through organic and synthetic seamlessly while yielding what could very well be their most dynamic, expansive and universally accessible album to date.

Keith Kenniff mustn’t sleep at all, after releasing the incredible Goldmund album ‘Corduroy Road’ for Type early in 2005 he was already busy at work crafting his second record as Helios; all this while finishing a degree at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music in Boston! ‘Eingya’ is very different from his work as Goldmund, as it incorporates not only his piano playing, but his delicate touch on guitar, drums and his masterful electronic production. It is an album of wordless songs, eleven carefully measured movements, each holding inside it an entire movie’s worth of emotion. Beginning the album on a high with the pastural beauty of ‘Bless This Morning Year’ we witness a showcase already of what Kenniff does best; hearbreaking guitar and piano melodies punctuated by crumbling beats and backed by the most atmospheric synthesizer sounds this side of Eno’s ‘Apollo’. Moving on we are treated to the appetising ‘Halving the Compass’ which blends subtle field recording with the kind of piano melodies so beautiful they could be compared to Virginia Astley or Harold Budd. This is followed by the album’s clear highlight – ‘Dragonfly Across an Ancient Land’; an unsurpassable folk guitar piece with a decomposing percussive background and the sort of melodies that would turn evil tyrants into weeping babies. An album which could as easily appeal to fans of Nick Drake as fans of Boards of Canada or even early Air; this truly has something for everyone. To put it simply – it’s gorgeous.
