2010年7月7日为马勒诞生150週年纪念，DG特地发行此限量套装来纪念这位大师。
尽管是挂DG名号，但这套马勒全集拥有了环球体系的外援，除了DG外，Decca、 Philips都提供历年的马勒名盘。
乐迷最感兴趣的应该是，DG这套全集里，10首交响曲和《大地之歌》各由哪些名演获选，答案也揭晓了。第一号是库贝力克版（DG，1967）、第二号是梅塔版（Decca，1975）、第三号是海汀克版（Philips，1966）、第四号是布列兹（DG，1998）、第五号是伯恩斯坦（DG，1987）、第六号是阿巴多（DG，2004）、第七号是辛纳波里（DG，1992）、第八号是索尔蒂（Decca，1971）、第九号是卡拉扬（DG，1982）、第十号是夏伊（Decca，1986）、《大地之歌》是朱里尼（DG，1984）。
其中，朱里尼的《大地之歌》绝版多年，这套全集像及时雨一样。此外，克雷莫在DG的4D系列中录制的马勒钢琴四重奏，也已经绝版多年，这次的再版，令人期待。

Allegretto广告语: 贝多芬（1770－1827）一生共创作了5部钢琴协奏曲，第五钢琴协奏曲《皇帝》作于1808－1809年间。前四部钢琴协奏曲首演时都是由贝多芬亲自担任钢琴声部的演奏，但是当第五钢琴协奏曲《皇帝》首演时，因为贝多芬已经基本失聪，无法胜任钢琴演奏，只能由他的得意门生、著名的钢琴演奏家车尔尼担任独奏。第五钢琴协奏曲《皇帝》后来又由17岁的李斯特在巴黎演奏而大获成功，盛名远播，倍受欢迎。此CD收录了钢琴协奏曲第5号，D大调小提琴协奏曲等著名曲目。

Beethoven was rarely explicit about any meaning behind his works. However it is impossible to listen to his Seventh Symphony without being captivated by a sense of euphoria, tainted only by what is possibly the most profound slow movement he was to write. Beethoven's Ninth Symphony is a landmark in the history of music, changing the concept of what a symphony could be. The 'Pastoral' symphony is one of Beethoven's most consistently popular works, evoking feelings of the natural world's beauty. The symphony embodies the spirit of the dawning Romantic era in its depiction of the countryside, and allowed Beethoven to express his love of nature and the outdoors. At the time of its completion, the Second Symphony was probably the longest yet composed. Written while he was coming to terms with the onset of deafness, it is surprisingly light hearted and cheerful.

荷兰指挥大师海汀克是当今最受尊敬、最多产、最全能的指挥家之一。他的交响曲录音包括2套勃拉姆斯、2套马勒、1套布鲁克纳、1套肖斯塔科维奇、1套沃恩·威廉姆斯，其中不少都堪称"标准"版本。然而，作为衡量一个指挥家成就最高标准的贝多芬交响曲全集，海汀克的这一套却姗姗来迟。
不过对于贝交而言，实在前有古人，后有来者，没有多少空间可以发挥。于是，海汀克走了"新潮"的复古路线：乐队和诺灵顿、加德纳、哈农库特的贝交一样，采用了较小编制（但并非古乐器，此外1、2小提琴分在两侧）；总谱则采用Jonathan Del Mar校订的版本（同阿巴多2001年贝交），速度偏快，整体上给人清新明快的感觉。
这套唱片是是伦敦交响乐团的自有品牌LSO Live发行的，分别有SACD和CD版本。
