And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out is the ninth studio album by American indie rock band Yo La Tengo, released on February 22, 2000 by record label Matador. The album received positive reviews from critics.

Arktika are back with their third album „Symmetry“. The sound of Arktika is still very standalone: elements of post-rock mix with heavy sludge parts, glimpses of 90es Emocore are enhanced with deep at- mospheric melodies. The vocals sound angry and desperate while the lyrics deal with personal issues. „Symmetry“ contains five new songs and has a running time of roughly 40 Minutes. The album was recorded by Sebastian Blaschke at Gottesweg Studios in Cologne and was mastered by Dan Coutant at Sunroom Mastering New York.

Its a damned miracle that blood pumps and you move, can be moved, can move others. Its a damned miracle that were filled with a bottomless jug of emotions that we can tap into and see what theyll do to us, what theyll arrange or rearrange. Were amazingly outfitted with a thousand chirping birds in our ribs that let themselves be known, that let out their peeps in chattered fits and then coast away with the day and its movable light. Whatever we find ourselves in, at any time, is merely a flirtation. It might drag on us and it might throw us into the brambles, but we must give ourselves over to something that will remind us that it is all just a flirtation - any and all of it.
The music of Olafur Arnalds is capable of reminding us of the nuances and the delicate awnings of our lives that we carelessly desensitize ourselves to. His lovingly orchestrated compositions are not what you would think of as uplifting in a defining sense, but they get you to a place where you are feeling things intensely and anytime youre able to stave off the numbness, youre doing something better than most. Youre feeling something and that should give you a reason enough to rejoice. These are suspended stories of hardship and beauty - never
knowing which one gets to eat and entertain that day. It could just be a little of both. He takes out into days that cook up good winds - winds that whip at the flap of the flags hung out to dry and winds that allow cars and some of those aforementioned birds make better time.
We listen to the notes and the melodies that Arnalds puts together and they leave us where we are, feeling like were watching our hat blow away. It was just lifted from the top of our head, by a substantial gust, and by the time we realized it, there is was a quarter of a mile away and rising, carried off to a death. We watch it as it goes and marvel at its good fortune, for a ride like that is a hell of a way to go.

After numerous requests from fans, the original soundtrack EP of ITV's hit series Broadchurch featuring music written by Ólafur Arnalds - available for the first time for download on Mercury Classics from 15th April 2013. This music is both beautiful and haunting -- in other words perfect for Broadchurch.

Ólafur Arnalds has recently recorded his score for the indie drama Gimme Shelter. The movie marks the directorial debut of video and commercials helmer Ron Krauss and stars Vanessa Hudgens as a pregnant, homeless teen who flees her abusive mother and moves to a shelter where she forms a family unit with other girls. Rosario Dawson, James Earl Jones, Ann Dowd, Stephanie Szostak and Brendan Fraser are co-starring. Krauss has also written the screenplay and is producing the film with Jeff Rice (The Watcher) and Joshua Amir. The Icelandic composer’s previous film credits include Another Happy Day starring Ellen Barkin, Ezra Miller and Ellen Burstyn. Scott’s Pictures has recently picked up worldwide rights for Gimme Shelter. No release date has been announced yet.

Mathieu Artu's solo project, RQTN is the reflection of the artistic aspirations of its creator. He released his first writings as a composer on early 2008, on a CD EP "We Were...We Are", on Swarm Of Nails Recordings. As reviewers acclaimed this first effort, RQTN started to make itself known, dropping its name out on the musical landscape. One year later, no more copies were left.
Time passes by, and new songs are written to be played with french hardcore band EINNA's singer. Though the project fails, Mathieu Artu reckons it should be shared. So, a second EP, self-titled, is released on the internet. Fully downloadable for free, it reaches more and more people every single day. In the meanwhile, it's time for self-questionning, as the Myspace page says, "RQTN is dead".Yet it is not the end of the story.
Several weeks later, RQTN comes out of nowhere, writing a brand new page of his story, leaving the ethereal post-rock spheres for a crossover between several sounds. Through classical, alternative and modern minimalism, Mathieu Artu borrows from Olafur Arnalds, Max Richter, Philip Glass, Clint Mansell or The Album Leaf. 9 tracks are written, the first long-play album from RQTN is born. Its name : "Monolithes En Mouvement"... (Monoliths in motion)

由 Paul Marron 和 Guillermo Batiz 組成的墨西哥電音組合。Yui 內除了 electronica外，作品中還包括 dream pop，post rock，ambient 等其他原素。Yui可以說是一張非常有趣的作品，一方面有一些輕鬆的 electro-pop 作品好像 S.A.D 和 Reki ，另外亦有 epic 式作品 lan P。時而有典型 laptop artist 式簡單編排；又有長篇大論 post rock 式電音，變奏高潮起伏。曲目時有 Sigur Ros 式天籟之音；有時又滲出 Mum式的原始 analog 音效 。音樂上，除了一般的鍵琴編排，Yui 內的弦樂編排也做得頗為出色。這張 CD 碟面上印有兩個小朋友的畫像，想也必是 Paul 和 Guillermo 對自身的投影吧。天真的氣氛中頗有一點娃娃看天下的味道。Childs 曾經用" electronic lullabies " 來形容他們自家的音樂，這也不失為一個貼切的形容。
