Funk Upon A Rhyme is the second album by the rapper Kokane from Pomona, California. The album was released in 1994 for Ruthless Records and distributed by Relativity Records. It was entirely produced by Cold 187um of Above The Law.
Kokane disses Dr. Dre, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound and the rest of the Death Row camp for biting the G-Funk style.

“Home Of The Killers” is the debut album by the hip-hop/rap artist Coop MC from Fort Worth, Texas. The album was released in 1995 on On The Rise Records and was produced by Maestro, Marlon and Ernie G.

Mac Mall, (born Jamal Rocker in Vallejo, California) is a Bay Area rapper who became known in the mid/late 1990s as one of the local artists putting the Bay Area on the hip hop map. He was signed to Young Black Brotha Records. Mac Mall was also longtime friends with Mac Dre, who was his mentor early on in his career. The two repaired their friendship a couple of years before Dre’s death. He is also cousins to Vallejo rap stars E-40 and B-Legit.
In 1993, Mac Mall released his debut album Illegal Business? on Young Black Brotha records. Entirely produced by Khayree Shaheed, the album featured Ray Luv, Mac Dre and The Mac. Illegal Business? moved over 200,000 units independently, a major feat for an independent artist and record label. He met Tupac Shakur shortly after the albums release, who after praising Mac’s music offered to direct a video for the single “Ghetto Theme”.

Sean-T is a hip-hop producer and recording artist from East Palo Alto, California, and member of M.O.G. His second album, “Pimp Lyrics & Dollar Signs” was released in 1996 by Young Gotti Records. The entire album was produced by G-Man Stan and Sean-T. The artwork was designed by Phunky Phat Graph-X.

Timothy Johnson, better known by his stage name Sinister was a gangsta rapper from Inglewood, California. He released his debut album Mobbin 4 Life while he was incarcerated. The album was released in 1994 for Interscope/Three D Records and was entirely produced by Tony “D” Pizarro.

South Central Cartel is a Los Angeles-based gangsta rap group. As one of the original early-’90s West Coast gangsta collectives to follow N.W.A.’s lead, South Central Cartel first appeared with their debut album South Central Madness in 1991, before releasing a succession of albums throughout the remainder of the decade.
‘N Gatz We Truss is the second album by the South Central Cartel. The album was released on May 10, 1994 for G.W.K. Records and distributed by Def Jam Records. The album features guest appearances by several West Coast heavyweights, including: Spice 1, 2Pac, Ice-T, MC Eiht and also Big Mike of the Geto Boys. The album introduced a new member to the group, Young Prodeje. Along with singles, music videos were produced for the songs: “Servin’ Em Heat”, “Gang Stories”, “Seventeen Switches” and “It’s a S.C.C. Thang”.

Ain’t No Luv Lost is the debut album by the gangsta rapper Lil Chill from Compton, California. The album was released in 1995 for Hoodlum / Street Records and was produced by Brum.

Cool-E is a gangsta rap artist from the northside of Richmond, California. His second album, “Funk Fo’ Life” was released in 1997 by Tact Out Records and featured B-Legit, Levitti, Slim, Casinova, Da’ Funkshun (Rob G & J Sweets) and The Outlawz.
