Víkingur Ólafsson (born 14 February 1984) is an Icelandic pianist.

The L'OISEAU-LYRE series presents performances of music from the Medieval to the Romantic periods on original instruments or authentic copies, based on the most recent research into the original texts, instrumentation and performing styles of each period.
In short, an outstanding issue which goes right to the top of the ladder. The recording is ideal as are the two instruments which Rousset has chosen.
