Lance Crayon
Spray Paint Beijing
Wall and Piece
Banksy Century 2005
Artistic genius, political activist, painter and decorator, mythic legend or notorious graffiti artist? The work of Banksy is unmistakable, except maybe when it’s squatting inthe Tate or New York’s Metropolitan Museum. Banksy is responsible for decorating the streets, walls, bridges and zoos of towns and cites throughout the world. Witty and subversive, his stencils show monkeys with weapons of mass destruction, policeman with smiley faces, rats with drills and umbrellas. If you look hard enough you’ll find your own. His statements, incitements, ironies and epigrams are by turns intelligent and cheeky comments on everything from the monarchy and capitalism to the war in Iraq and farm animals. His identity remains unknown, but his work is prolific. And now for the first time, he’s putting together the best of his work – old and new in a fully illustrated colour volume.
Banksy
Gary Shove (Author) / Patrick Potter (Author) Carpet Bombing Culture 2012 - 8
The single best collection of photographs of Banksy's street work. Period. You Are An Acceptable Level of Threat concentrates on this singular artist's iconic imagery, spanning the late '90s up until the end of 2011. The locations are from around the world (predominantly the UK, US and Europe), and many images have never been seen before. When Banksy started out painting, the political landscape was bleak. Fortunately now, it's ten times worse. As Banksy's cheerfully aggressive political work becomes ever more relevant, this comprehensive tome sets about presenting his art in the context of the era he was responding to.

Stencil Graffiti Capital
Jake Smallman / Carl Nyman Mark Batty Publisher 2005 - 10
An edgy, lavishly visual survey that shows the best work of the best street artists working in Melbourne, Australia. Bansky, the well known British stencil artist, after a visit to Melbourne, in 2003 said: "The walls of Melbourne are very noisy...like the noise of a hundred drunk people talking among themselves. "He went on to say," It looks like the city belongs to anyone that wants it. It feels like there's more opportunity. "Through intimate interviews, dynamic layouts and a riot of examples the street artists are shown in the context of world street art culture. Important questions such as why they paint are closely examined. Melbourne's walls are both canvases and meeting place for ideas, making it the hot-bed for the best in stencil graffiti art.
Stencil Graffiti
Manco, Tristan Thames & Hudson 2002 - 4
City streets abound with billboards, posters, and corporate advertising that almost invite a subversive response ...and increasingly are getting one. Many of today's graffiti artists have adopted the stencil and spray can, and are using the street as a giant creative forum for their arresting artwork. "The image," says San Diego artist Shepard Fairey, "is integrated with the texture of the street." This book showcases the work of the originators, the innovators, and the new generation who, as UK artist Nylon puts it, are "breathing life into derelict spaces." Stencil graffiti is beginning to filter off the street too, as artists are inspired to use stencils on canvas, clothing, and metal. Tristan Manco has chosen over 400 of the most visually exuberant, subtle, and creative examples of the genre from cities all over the world. With subject matter ranging from the political to the poetic, from the funky to the frankly curious, stencil graffiti is graphic innovation on an international scale. Inspirational in form and content, this book is an essential record for everyone with an interest in design or in contemporary urban culture. 405 illustrations, 400 in color.
