1997年摩登天空正式在最初的办公室花园村成立。也是在那一年“摩登”有了签约的三只乐队，“清醒”、“新裤子”、“超级市场”。这三个工艺美校乐队让 “摩登”有了最初的样子，也奠定了“摩登”的音乐审美。而沈黎晖签下“超市市场”，正是因为听了田鹏给他放的《假若今夜来临》。
2022年的6月超级市场乐队带着新版《假夜今夜来临2022》再次“登台”，这首新歌原型为1998年乐队首张专辑《模样》中的《假若今夜来临》，它的制作初衷并不是简单的源于改编或重混音，田鹏将这首歌用更加中国风路线呈现出来，更像是一段人生路程的配乐，细数种种。
《假若今夜来临》最早出现在《摩登天空1》的合集中，之后在1998年作为超级市场首张专辑《模样》最受关注的单曲，与《玫瑰公园》成为乐迷们最喜欢的单曲。另一方面在整整24年后大家依然在一起，但这首歌如同旅程一般，途经这么久后，在田鹏手下显现新的版本。就算如今听起原曲，工业感的节奏冲击，更有九寸钉般的激昂情绪听感，在90年代末的中国，堪称电子音乐的奇迹。
《假若今夜来临2022》在开场用氛围和从恢弘一撇中，拉出了中国乐器的演绎，算是新版本的最大亮点，整首歌长达7分半之久，并且作为一首偏向Techno化节奏的电子舞曲向作品，在如今这个3分钟两段副歌+Drop结束的快餐年代，无疑是会更考验耐心。启用从笛到筝等多种中国标志性乐器的演绎，作为整首歌更加Progressive Dance感觉的层层推动，绝对是给各种所谓口碑的“中国风电子舞曲”上了一堂课，更汇聚情义，更有恢弘的启承下落，铺在底层的恍惚人声演绎，让作品本身已经完全脱离简单的“中国风”的思路，器乐成为“单调”舞曲节奏上一朵朵盛开的花。
24年过去，谁也不知道超级市场下一步会如何，谁也不知道田鹏何时会退休，强调当下的感觉，强调人与人之间的连接，一首歌能表达的最大程度也不过如此了。

At the end of a very difficult year – not only for music and club culture – the fifth compilation by Heimlich Musik comes as an early Christmas present and as an optimistic forecast for a brighter 2021. 17 original cuts reflect the history of the label so far, ranging from slow organic compositions over melancholic slow tech to uplifting disco gems by a balanced melange of artists consisting of all-time favorites, new faces, label regulars but also upcoming EP candidates. Although it is not possible these times to listen to these productions on the dance floor, the fifth compilation by Heimlich Musik supports the important message that music will not be stopped.

let your body immerse itself in the feeling of nostalgia, seeking comfort

Yagya's Rigning album from 2009 is the Icelandic producer's most acclaimed dub, techno and minimal masterpiece. Due to popular demand, Delsin are now re-issuing it across three slabs of vinyl. Previously only available as a double pack with eight tracks, the new re-mastered version features all 10 of the tracks from the original CD.
Guðmundsson has been making music for years both solo and as part of the Thule Musik collective. He is an album specialist who has worked as Yagya since 2002 and has put out six albums since then. They come on labels like Force Inc and Sending Orbs - where Rigning was first released - and manage to be both absorbing and detailed yet suitable for relaxing background listening. His last two albums, Sleepygirls (2014) and Stars & Dust (2016) appeared on Delsin Records.
Rigning is essentially one long track split into movements. It depicts a city sleeping as gentle rain falls and dubbed out grooves zone you out. Yagya's style is always patient and slow burning, his grooves are long and drawn out and his pads reach up into the heavens. This whole album in coated in a warm fuzz and is a real comfort on dark, long, cold nights.
As insular and melancholic as it is, there is also plenty of beauty in the melodies and delicate keys. From dark and gloomy to more optimistic and meditative, there is a sophistication throughout this always cinematic album that continues to make it stand out nearly a decade after it was first released.

弱冠16歳でリリースを開始した少女NORIKOのプロジェクト、越智義朗やSUGIZOにもフックされながら、細野晴臣の「Naga」のリリースでスタートしている90sの国産レーベル〈FOA(Folk Oriented Art) Records〉を中心にわずか８年間で20枚ものアルバムを残しているDream Dolphinの音源をRevelation TimeのEiji Taniguchiくんがコンパイル。
Music From Memory continues its deep dive into leftfield Japanese electronic music with this collection of tracks from the elusive Dream Dolphin. Compiled alongside Eiji Taniguchi (who also helmed Dream Dolphin’s first appearance on Music From Memory with the ’Heisei No Oto - Japanese Left-field Pop From The CD Age (1989-1996)’ compilation), Gaia plucks tracks from Dream Dolphin’s (aka Noriko)’s 20 albums, dipping into ambient and downtempo for sure, but also techno, drum and bass, and trance as well. A fascinating musician capable of moving within several realms of expression, Noriko also composed functional music therapy for hospitals alongside the work collected here, a robust primer for a deep oeuvre very much worth digging through.
