Herbert Jeffrey Hancock (born April 12 1940 in Chicago, Illinois) is an award winning American jazz pianist and composer. Hancock is one of jazz music's most important and influential pianists and composers. He embraced elements of rock, funk, and soul while adopting freer stylistic elements from jazz.

Originally released in 1975 as a double live album, recorded and initially released only in Japan. Flood admirably documents Hancock's Headhunters-period in a concert setting. The tunes are mostly culled from the recommended studio albums Headhunters, Thrust and Man-Child, with an excellent remodeling of 'Maiden Voyage' opening the program.

After Eating Music Camp 2019, Sdewdent was officially signed by the independent music label ‘Eating Music’ in Shanghai and then helped to finish the production of the theme compilation ‘Eating Music Campilation Vol.2’. With those artists/producers’ support, he made this unique instrumental album. Deeply influenced by the artists from the fields of Jazz and Hip-hop such as J.Dilla, Madlib, Kiefer, Eric Lau, DJ Harrison, DJ Khalil, Yussef Dayes, Marquis Hill, Kammal Williams, Rocco Palladin, etc., versatile rhythms and grooves turns out to be his main focus in the project, arranged with a large amount of virtual instruments and classic synthesizers brings the whole vibe in a well-ballanced place between sample beats and instrumental compositions. Features by shanghai jazz vocalist Voision Xi, Washington D.C. producer/M.C. Blacmav, and other young Chinese producers/instrumentalists like Kian and Pacoz sonically adds more richness and humanized warmth to the album. This 40-minute musical journey turns out to be the so-far-best answer sheet to a ‘student’ like Sdewdent.
