I found this movie on hoopla. A surreal and anxiety-inducing experience: we follow the journey of a young woman working as a reporter for a Japanese network's feature on Uzbekistan. Out of her element, we see how she struggles to hold her ground as she does what is necessary to pursue her dream of becoming a singer. The film relies on a lot of mundane clips of what seem to be just her wandering around, requiring us to likewise experience the disorientation of being in a strange place while lost in life.

Recommended by @nessotropheion@glaceon.social. Hino is an excellent jazz player. Lots of tracks here that give me a bossa nova, yacht vibe. Imagining myself as a cyberpunk detective in a big city in a time of hope. Good background music for music or make art to.
