唱片的录音棚就是排练室，更早以前它是董亚千家里的老宅，闷在年代久远的四层红砖楼房里，周围住的多数是老人。乐队在这一片早起早睡的潮水里干活，扯淡，吃喝拉撒，无论昼夜，不知大中华盛世将至。
那些80年代的红砖还能叫红色吗，大概只能算煤球渣子的近亲。正如唱歌的最终会沉默，昨日奔跑着的青年和鸵鸟，一转眼就是今天的腐肉，秃鹫。不过，音乐不是为如此这般的现实伴奏的，它一直在它该在的地方，需要一路撕扯着过去的，只是我们。
这么多年，这么一帮人，前前后后兜圈子，现在终于出首张唱片。到了这一步，快和慢是另一个世界的话题。让企业家和文人继续开辩论会吧。专辑在手，大梦初醒，专属于个人的节奏，早就战胜了环境施加的心理暗示。药方就是我们自己，像羽毛，突然的，一下一下的飘落而至。
必须承认首张唱片是土法炼钢，各种自学试验，呼哧呼哧的吹风点火，完全没有大跃进的豪爽速度，反倒前后拖了快两年。修改打磨，福祸焉知。硬伤是免不了的。有时候像拳头打进了棉花，那种落空和被瞬间软化的悲哀，简直让人恨不得放弃所有的努力。相信许多中国乐队也都经历过。不多说。Leonard Cohen 的名言最适合用来安慰：一半怪自己，一半怪环境。
设备东拼西凑，制作也七嘴八舌，反正各种借，骗，着急和糊涂，旧交新朋全部派上了用场。万能青年旅店，名字叫的清楚响亮，自己没开张的时候先轮番被大家招待，欠下的人情堆到天边。这就是生命里的各种麻烦吗。现在描述起来，却又像一幅理想世界的蓝图：众人拾柴浇油，吵吵嚷嚷间，一团火焰轰地着了。
90年代美式另类摇滚很深的影响过这个乐队，现在成员们的喜好包括老摇滚，民谣，爵士乐，迷幻噪音，酒后流行歌，草地唱诗等等，至于作品是什么，光自己说不算。
录音室的窗外，短暂出现过一大片空地。那是开发商圈出的牧场，即将到来的肥肉和鲜血，即将到来的千万人厕身其间刨食的日子。但它曾经是空旷的，好几个足球场那么大的空旷，尤其到了晚上，像真理似的空虚，神秘，给目光以憧憬的机会，让风进来，吹得更猛烈。
唱片完成之时，空地已经被耸立的高楼填满。我们渴望这张塞了很多东西的唱片还能留下空地的丝缕感觉，这样的话，所有听到的人，就有可能并肩站在一起。

Four years after the release of their landmark debut in 2004, MTV VMA Award-winning, Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum Island Records group The Killers have completed their fourth album - and first new studio album in two years - DAY & AGE, featuring the new single, "Human" debuting worldwide September 22nd, while the digital single will be released September 30th. The new album hits stores November 25th - two days before Thanksgiving.
DAY & AGE was produced by Stuart Price, a key figure in electronic music (Les Rhythmes Digitales) who previously worked with The Killers on "Don't Shoot Me Santa," their 2007 Christmas single; as well as music on their 2007 compilation, Sawdust. Over the past five years, Price has worked as a producer, mixer, programmer, and keyboardist, including The Killers' "Mr Brightside" remix which was Grammy Nominated.
The Killers - Brandon Flowers on vocals and keyboards, guitarist David Keuning, bassist Mark Stoermer, and drummer Ronnie Vannucci - found time to complete their new album while also wrapping up their biggest summer rock festival season in the U.S. and abroad. Historic headlining gigs at England's prestigious Leeds and Reading fests coincided with an appearance on the cover of NME's August 8th issue. Earlier in 2008, the Killers took home top honors for Best Band of the Year and Best Track of the Year ("Tranquilize") at the annual NME Awards USA gala, at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on April 23rd.
DAY & AGE comes one year after the release of Sawdust (November 2007), a 17-song collection of previously unreleased session tracks, B-sides, rarities and one-offs. The album was assembled at a recording studio in New York's Hell's Kitchen, where the Killers worked with Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer Lou Reed two recordings. Two singles and videos were issued: "Shadowplay" (from the motion picture soundtrack of Control, Anton Corbijn's biopic of Ian Curtis), and "Tranquilize".
The Killers' RIAA platinum second album Sam's Town (October 2006) debuted at #2 and spun off two hit singles: the #1 Modern Rock "When You Were Young," nominated for Grammy Awards for Best Rock Song and Best Short Form Music Video; and "Read My Mind," the band's first #1 at Triple-A. Their worldwide 5 million-selling debut Hot Fuss (June 2004) was the longest-running rock album inside the top 50 on the Billboard 200 albums chart for all of 2005, logging 94 weeks on the chart - 53 of those inside the Top 50. The album spun off four solid hit singles - the Grammy-nominated anthem, "Somebody Told Me," the VMA-winning (and Grammy-nominated) "Mr. Brightside," the Modern rock hit "Smile Like You Mean It," and the Grammy-nominated "All These Things That I've Done."

2006 debut album from new British Indie hopefuls Vega 4, who NME says 'will give The Killers a run for their money'. Influenced by the music they grew up on, Vega 4 combine elements of New Wave, Punk and Britpop and come out on top with some amazing tunes including the singles 'Traffic Jam' and 'You And Me'. 11 tracks total. Jeff Buckley was many things, but humble wasn't one of them. Grace is an audacious debut album, filled with sweeping choruses, bombastic arrangements, searching lyrics, and above all, the richly textured voice of Buckley himself, which resembled a cross between Robert Plant, Van Morrison, and his father Tim. And that's a fair starting point for his music: Grace sounds like a Led Zeppelin album written by an ambitious folkie with a fondness for lounge jazz. At his best -- the soaring title track, "Last Goodbye," and the mournful "Lover, You Should've Come Over" -- Buckley's grasp met his reach with startling results; at its worst, Grace is merely promising.

Suede is the debut album by English alternative rock band Suede, released in March 1993 on Nude Records. At the time the fastest-selling debut album in British history, Suede debuted at the top of the UK Album Chart, won the 1993 Mercury Music Prize, and is often credited with starting the Britpop movement. The sound of the album has been compared to The Smiths and the early David Bowie era.

Placebo are an English rock band, formed in London in 1994 by vocalist–guitarist Brian Molko and bassist–guitarist Stefan Olsdal. Drummer Robert Schultzberg joined in late 1994, but left in 1996 shortly after the release of the band's eponymous debut album due to conflicts with Molko, and was replaced the same year by Steve Hewitt.

我觉得和第一张那时候的心态和冲劲都不一样了了，当然那时候已经有六七年的那种祭奠了，表现二十岁左右的那种状况都在第一张里体现了，过了那个时间岁数也大了，年轻时的冲动会少好多，我也觉得年轻时的那个东西挺冲的，让我感到那个时候的激情，对我以前的总结我是挺满意的。但是从那以后肯定就是因为音乐审美趋向的问题呀还有就是从歌词和表达的东西上更具体了，更接近生活的表面上和一些感受的东西。而第一张主题都比较大，都是那种世界观根本上的问题。我觉得那些就只能写一次了，所以现在就要找一些比较好玩呀或是比较有感觉的主题来表达。第一张专集从歌上说几乎每首歌都带变速，特别复杂的结构和特别细腻的和声转调，这张的和声特别简单没有一首是变速的，全都是在一个律动里边找一个东西。然后就在这些基本结构里做发挥和表现。然后就是有很多旋律感很好听的感觉其实第一张的感觉也是特别复杂的，可以说有另外一种审美取向。这张加了好多电子乐里用的电鼓啊，还有一些音色呀但这也不是很多，也只是有这样一个方向，有些还是吉他贝司鼓的这种设置。但是我在写这张的时候原则就是律动感和旋律性都能够在现场演出时跳起来。

Marvel's upcoming sci-fi movie bringing a whole new meaning to "Space Jam."
Keeping the hype machine rolling for Marvel's upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy flick, writer/director James Gunn gave fans a little peek at the songs included on the movie's uniquely retro soundtrack. Posting on Facebook Tuesday, Gunn first released the image (shown) that will grace the cover of the official soundtrack before later announcing the official track list.
Fans that have watched the Guardians of the Galaxy trailers already know that one of Peter Quill's (Chris Pratt) most cherished items is his old school Sony Walkman and a mix tape of songs he made before being taken into space as a child. According to Gunn, the track list for the soundtrack includes:

When asked about the songs included in the movie and the soundtrack, Gunn stated, "Marvel was kind enough to shell out for every single song I requested." Also, he let fans know that the songs which made it onto the soundtrack aren't all the songs he used during filming, writing:
"NOTE this is not the entirety of the Mixed Tape that Peter Quill listens to, the one that I gave to Chris Pratt that he listened to endlessly before the movie started. That is a longer list, that includes these songs, among others. I'll release that full list closer to the release of them film."
Guardians of the Galaxy hits theaters nationwide on Friday, August 1st. The official soundtrack is scheduled to release earlier that week on Tuesday, July 29th
