Produced by RedOne, it was released as the album's second single in late 2008 for some markets and in early 2009 for the rest of the world. The song is an uptempo dance song following in the footsteps of her previous single "Just Dance" but has a darker musical tone. The main idea behind the song is bisexuality and was a tribute by Gaga to her rock 'n' roll boyfriends. Lyrically "Poker Face" is about sex and gambling.

It was released as the second single from 21 on 24 January 2011.

"Set Fire to the Rain" is a song from soul singer Adele released from her second studio album 21. It was released mid-February as the second single from the album in the Netherlands where it reached number one. The song will also be released elsewhere in Europe as the third single from the album. In Germany, Set Fire to the Rain reached No. 20 in its 6th week charting making it the highest charting song not to be released as a single since Lena's Push Forward which reached No. 15 in March 2011.

Despite initially stating that Loud will have a re-release, she later announced through her official Twitter account that she has decided to release a completely new studio album instead. Rihanna stated on her official twitter that her new album will be released in Fall 2011. It has been confirmed that the lead single "We Found Love" will premiere on September 22, 2011.
