It was released on November 16, 2014 by Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records and Republic Records as the fourth single from the album. It features additional vocals from American singer-songwriter Skylar Grey.

"Only" is the latest chapter in the saga of Drake and Chris Brown. They were involved in a fight at a nightclub back in 2012, then they participated together in a sketch on the ESPYs, and then Brown was rumored to appear at OVO Fest (but had to drop out due to border issues).
