Even those allergic to musicals may be won over by Once, a tender-hearted Irish romance with songs by Czech Republic–born Markéta Irglová and Frames frontman Glen Hansard. (The film's director, John Carney, actually used to play bass in the group.) The trick here is that Irglová and Hansard also play the leads; because their characters are shown busking, writing music, or rehearsing, the songs are smoothly integrated in the film. The overall acoustic mood won't surprise fans of the Frames--some tracks ("Say It to Me," "When Your Mind's Made Up") have even popped up on the band's albums, though the arrangements are more pared-down here, befitting the scruffy, street-musician setting. Being the lesser-known entity, Irglová feels like a revelation; she sounds a bit like a folkie Björk on "If You Want Me," and her song "The Hill" is downright heartbreaking. Irglová and Hansard had already made the 2006 album The Swell Seasontogether, so their collaboration here feels really organic--they sound particularly good together on the title track, for instance. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the fourth film (and soundtrack album) in the massively successful Harry Potter franchise-nearly $1 billion in U.S. box office alone-features a score by Academy Award-nominated composer Patrick Doyle and three songs written by modern rocker Jarvis Cocker, and performed by Cocker, Jonny Greenwood, Phil Selway, Steve Claydon and Jason Buckle-with all these musicians also appearing in the movie.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the soundtrack to the 2009 film of the same name, written and composed by Nicholas Hooper. The score was conducted by Hooper alongside Alastair King. It is the second Harry Potter film to be scored by Hooper, who also composed the score for the previous film in the series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The soundtrack was released on 14 July 2009, a day before the film's release, and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack Album for a Motion Picture. The soundtrack is critically acclaimed and the most successful album of the series.

John composed "Double Trouble" during the production of the film as we decided that a children's choir would be a warm welcome back to Hogwarts. The theme, a melodic mischievous close cousin of the "Hedwig's Theme" composed around text from Shakespeare's "Macbeth", became the foundation stone for the rest of the film score. Its medieval color became the musical identity of the wizarding world in this third installment of Harry Potter.

John juggled these medieval motifs with a late 19th century rossini-esque narrative, a delirious big band Jazz number, and 20th century music (which we both share a love for). How he managed to create a unity out of it all, beats me!

It was a great privilege to witness, as the scoring sessions unfolded, music breathing life into what has become a much better film.

After the critical and commercial success of the top 10 album – ‘Night Thoughts’ (2016) Suede are set to release their stunning new album ‘The Blue Hour’ on the 21st September 2018.
The Blue Hour is the final part of the triptych of albums recorded by the band since they reformed and released 2013’s Bloodsports. Produced and mixed by Alan Moulder at Assault & Battery Studios the album sees Suede continue to explore new ground sonically. It features a choir and spoken word, as well as string arrangements from Craig Armstrong and the band’s own Neil Codling.
The Blue Hour was produced by Alan Moulder and Suede; it shares the same line-up as 1996’s Coming Up – vocals by Brett Anderson, guitars by Richard Oakes, bass by Mat Osman, drums by Simon Gilbert, synthesizers and piano by Neil Codling.

A Moon Shaped Pool is the ninth studio album by the English rock band Radiohead, produced by Nigel Godrich. It was released as a download on 8 May 2016. CD and LP editions will be released on 17 June 2016, followed by a "special edition" in September, containing two additional songs. Soon after its release the album was played in its entirety on BBC Radio 6 Music, presented by Tom Robinson.
