英倫天團-酷玩樂團〈Coldplay〉發行新專輯的消息塵囂甚上，原本計劃於今年發行的新專輯只聞其聲但不聞起響，數度讓全球媒體與歌迷摸不著頭緒的他們，現在終於有新發展！？根據酷玩樂團官方網站的最新消息，久未推出新專輯的他們發表了由酷玩樂團親手繪的新聞稿，除了用英文拼音說中文和各國語言對全球歌迷打招呼外，還公佈確定於12/1【三】在itunes發行最新耶誕單曲〈Christmas Lights〉並祝福全球歌迷耶誕佳節快樂，但這篇手寫新聞稿中最引人注意的部分是，「我們正在拍攝音樂錄影帶的字句」被塗黑，間接反映新專輯的準備進度，而這個提早洩漏的意外卻已經引起全球媒體的瘋狂臆測跟報導

Coldplay新专辑发布的第二首单曲，与知名DJ Avicii合作。
Coldplay has shared a new track from its upcoming record, Ghost Stories, out May 19. Listen to "A Sky Full of Stars" below. It's a coll aboration with EDM powerhouse Avicii.
This follows the previously shared tracks "Midnight", "Magic", and "Oceans".
The band has also launched a collaboration with various libraries around the world, hiding copies of Ghost Stories song lyrics in the stacks. The lyric sheets, handwritten by frontman Chris Martin and placed in envelopes, will be inside ghost story books. One set includes a "Golden Ticket" for a free trip to see Coldplay at Royal Albert Hall on July 1.

Coldplay took us by surprise last week with the left-field, ambient and auto-tuned single, “Midnight”. Now, Chris Martin and Co. return with details of their upcoming sixth studio album. Entitled Ghost Stories, the follow-up to 2011′s Mylo Xyloto will arrive May 19th through Parlophone Records.
The track titled “Magic” serves as the album’s first proper single and is now available for purchase through iTunes.

Coldplay teamed up with Pop diva Rihanna for a new song called “Princess of China” that will appear on the rock group’s upcoming fifth studio album “Mylo Xyloto,” due in stores one week from today (Oct 25).
“[Rihanna's] bit on our record is my favorite bit … when the song came out, it sort of asked for her to be on it,” Chris Martin told MTV last month. “And I think at this point, we have nothing to lose, and so we’ve been trying some new things and trying to break down the perceived boundaries between different types of music. … Because from where we’re sitting, it seems like you can try and sound any way you like nowadays. You don’t have to be in a rock box or a hip-hop box or a pop box, and I think it’s fun when you embrace that idea.”

A new Coldplay song, Atlas, will feature on the official soundtrack for the forthcoming film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
Atlas will now be available via iTunes and all digital retailers on Sunday, 8 September, 2013 in the UK and Friday, 6 September, 2013 everywhere else.

The first single to promote the album, "Adventure of a Lifetime", was released on 6 November 2015 at 7:45 a.m. GMT.
