一列疾驰的火车呼啸而过，在经过某个城镇时扔下了一个有些潦倒落魄的青年（巴斯特·基顿 Buster Keaton 饰）。他没有工作，彷徨无奈，而登载在一份超大报纸上的招工启事吸引了青年的眼球。该启事来自一家射击训练场，他们要求员工拥有不错的射击本领。青年临时抱佛脚，偷了警察的枪来联系，无奈技术实在不堪。即便如此，他还是硬着头皮前去应聘。
射击场的老板是一个面相凶恶、身材魁梧的男人，他的真实身份则是某个强盗团伙的老大，他正和同伙们密谋绑架某富商。青年凭借小聪明获准成为团伙的一员，也阴差阳错得到富商的赏识，成了他的贴身保镖……

C'est dire l'humilité et l'absence d'esprit de sérieux de l'équipe qui entourait Malespine (sa famille ?) et s'amuse dans Jeux arborescents. Les relations entre les rosaces en vitrail et les formes florales, entre la géométrie architecturale et celle, aléatoire, des branches d'arbres (d'où l'arborescence), entre les figures de trames et de cercles, entre le positif et le négatif librement alternés, entre le flou et le défini, forment un catalogue éblouissant des obsessions plastiques d'une époque.

The annual festival trailer has been one of the Viennale's special features for quite some time now. It is not a commercial trailer as such, but rather a small, autonomous piece of cinema, standing on its own and for the festival alike.
In the case of James Benning's work this short trailer is a true action film. Benning shot the work process in a steelworks in the Ruhr area. On a kind of conveyor belt, a glowing piece of steel flits across the screen and disappears only to reappear again as a blazing, shining material. Finally, artificial rain falls onto the glowing metal, shrouding the whole image in a cloud of steam and making it disappear.
Created at the Viennale's invitation, James Benning's short film is both a simple and subtle piece of cinema. I took the steel rolling process that takes about ten minutes, as the filmmaker explains his approach, and condensed it down to one minute by cutting out portions and hiding the ellipses in time with dissolves.
Following previous years' Viennale trailer by Jean-Luc Godard, which turned out to be a small miracle of montage art, Benning's work is an equally fascinating cinematic poem about time and motion taking an industrial work process as an example. And it would not be James Benning, had he not chosen the title of an old hippie song by James Taylor as the title for his trailer: Fire and Rain.
The festival trailer Fire & Rain was screened from September 24 in more than one hundred selected Austrian cinemas and was shown repeatedly as part of the Viennale program from October 22 to November 4.

两位卢米埃尔夫人在为一艘出港的小船送行。画面巧妙的运用了对角线式的构图方法。右上角的后景中是防波堤及站在上面的两位夫人和她们的女儿，左下角的前景中则是她们目送出港的两个奋力划浆的戴礼帽的男人；不断冲击堤岸的海浪具有一种立体感。画面上地平线与海平面重叠，位于画面上方三分之一处，与黄金分割率的构图原则出奇符合，画面后方的天空和海洋，不但展现出海洋的空间感，而且给观众以想像的余地。总之本片在构图方面具有那种“堪与现代最好的画面相匹敌的真正的美。”卢米埃尔夫人的钟罩式长衫被海风吹涨开来，她手中挥动着毛巾，表现出一种依依惜别的深情。

为了激励年轻的电影人埃罗尔·莫里斯，赫尔佐格打下一个著名的赌：如果对方能拍出部电影，他就吃掉自己的鞋子。结果莫里斯拍出了纪录片《天堂之门》，赫尔佐格认赌服输，没有食言，硬是在纽约UA影院的首映式上当着上千名观众吃掉了自己的一只烹饪了5个小时的皮鞋。《赫尔佐格吃他的鞋子》后来也成为了一部纪录短片。在吃鞋子之前，赫尔佐格还有关于电影的道理要讲：“吃鞋是一件蠢事，但人生有的时候就要干些蠢事。一个成年人在他的一生中，本来应该吃一回自己的鞋子，或者干点其他类似的事。这话说给所有那些想要拍电影却不敢上手的人，别为资金、剧本烦恼太多，电影是运动，不是美学，动手拍就是了。”

元々『ハッピーアワー』クラウドファンディングの特典として企画された短編。現時点で濱口竜介の最新作である。ドキュメンタリー、正面ショット、ダンス…とこれまでの濱口作品のモチーフが頻出する一方で、新境地とも言うべき軽やかさが印象深い。それをもたらしたのは、『PASSION』『永遠に君を愛す』出演の岡部尚との久しぶりのコラボレーション、そして新たな協働者である小川あん、玄理の瞳の輝きだろう。虚実の間を揺れ動く”インタビュー”シーンは必見。

小主角青木富夫一片成名，从此改名突贯小僧，意即「向你撞过来的男孩」，就是《我出生了，但...》的小儿子。

The Spirits of Cairn imagines a state of limbo which is the destination of those who die in childhood. The protagonist feels remorse about having died too young, but the emotion is just an echo and he has no idea how long he’s been there, why he is there, or the source of his regret. His work of interring the many necks buried below the surface continues without end.
『ケアンの首達』は、若くして亡くなった子供が行き着くかもしれない、死後の世界を想像して作られた物語である。行き着く先は、喜びも悲しみもない天国と地獄の狭間にある世界であり、それは例えば”賽の河原”や”幼児の辺獄”など、様々な宗教に共通して存在している。主人公は、早くに亡くなってしまった事への罪悪感がありながらも、まるで残響のように感情だけを覚えているだけで、いつからその地にいるのかも、なんのためにいるのかも、その未練の正体もわからずにいる。地面に眠る数多の首を弔う作業は、どこまでも果てしなく続いて行く。

续集依然延续第一部的世界设定，不同的是时间线更加随意，在同一时空下存在着更多个不同的克隆版“艾米丽”。由于技术故障，原本应该接替5号艾米丽的6号艾米丽无法获取“上一任艾米丽”的记忆，于是她干脆找到了仍是小孩子的初版艾米丽。她们在彼此的思维里游走，交换信息和想法。6号艾米丽装满了成年的记忆，她忧伤、成熟，是个十足的大人。而小艾米丽天马行空，自由烂漫。当两人再次相遇时，过去的6号艾米丽不见了，取而代之的是平和、快乐的6号艾米丽。
苦恼被放下，束缚被解除，那份小孩子天性里的好心态终于被保存了下来。或许重要的不是记忆的传承，而是赤子之心。
