"Road Trippin’ Through Time" is a radio station issued promo CD featuring 18 of the band’s biggest hits from the Warner Brothers era and in radio edited format.
The Chili Peppers are due to release their 10th studio album soon, and perhaps as part of the fanfare around that milestone release, or perhaps, more prosaically, to refamiliarise listeners with their sound after the break since the last album, they’ve decided to fill the gap with this “Best Of” collection.
It may prove to be a bit much in the same time period for shoppers with a limited budget, but Road Trippin’... does what the best hits collections always do – remind you just how much of your life has been soundtracked by a particular band.
