"Heroes" is the 12th studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on RCA Records on 14 October 1977. The second installment of his Berlin Trilogy recorded with Brian Eno and Tony Visconti, "Heroes" continued the ambient experiments of Bowie's previous album Low (released earlier that year) and featured the contributions of King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp.[5] Of the three albums, it was the only one wholly recorded in Berlin.

This is a collection of singles, outtakes, and rare songs recorded under the name of Arnold Corns in 1971 and is a direct copy of "Freddi & The Dreamer".
It should be noted that the John Peel show version of Looking For A Friend appears as Track 12 on this particular pressing which is at odds with the tracklisting shown on the cover art.
This was one of Bowie’s side projects and something of a dry run for Ziggy Stardust. The band was formed in Dulwich College and Bowie agreed to write for them. At the same time he also agreed to write for the 19 year old dress designer Freddie Burretti (aka Rudi Valentino). Bowie came up with the idea of combining Burretti and Arnold Corns, and with the help of Mick Ronson, Mick Woodmansey and Trevor Bolder, a revised version of Arnold Corns was created during the spring of 1971. Bowie was writing material that would later become Hunky Dory, as well as songs earmarked for Burretti. Burretti as the frontman was a total fabrication, and his contributions were simply lost alongside Bowie's.
The band’s first single was "Moonage Daydream"/"Hang on to Yourself", released on B&C records on 7 May 1971 and a stunning flop. Both these songs later reappeared on Ziggy Stardust in new versions. The Arnold Corns versions appeared as bonus tracks on the Rykodisc CD rerelease of The Man Who Sold the World.

12 titles selected and commented in a 8-page booklet by David Bowie himself. ISelect is a David Bowie compilation CD with a collection of personal favourites compiled by Bowie himself . The compilation is notable for two reasons. First, Bowie avoided the usual greatest hits route and instead compiled a selection of favourite album tracks. The album contains only three singles (Life On Mars, Loving the Alien, and Time Will Crawl), of which only Life On Mars dates from his classic 1970's period. Secondly, it is the only release to contain the track "Some Are" which has been unavailable since the mid-1990's deletion of the 1991 edition of Bowie's 1977 album Low on which it was included as a bonus track.

Three singles David Bowie cut for Pye in 1966, with producer Tony Hatch, 'I Dig Everything', 'Can't Help Thinking About Me' and 'Do Anything You Say'. Released in April 1966, 'Can't Help Thinking About Me' left the R&B formula of Bowie's earlier singles behind, serving up instead a delicious slice of classic mod-pop (reminiscent of the Kinks of that same era) and getting Bowie an invitation to appear on the influential Ready Steady Go!. 'I Dig Everything' is another enjoyable sliver of mid-sixties Brit pop but Bowie's trademark moodiness is already firmly in place, despite the song's rather upbeat lyrics.

The end of Hurt is cut off and fades out after 'and you could have it
all, my empire of dirt, i will let you down, i will make you hurt'.
Trent also messes up the beginning verse of 'The Becoming' by singing
the second verse first. Otherwise, the sound quality is pretty good.

The song labelled 'Warszawa' is actually the instrumental part where
Trent plays the saxaphone. David Bowie sings the lyrics 'she could
have been a killer'. This track has been labelled as 'Intro To Scary
Monsters' on other recordings.

Bowie's 1990 hits compilation, deleted in the U.S. Contains 18 of the Thin White Duke's finest from 1969-1990, all digitally remastered. Includes 'Space Oddity', 'Changes', 'Suffragette City', 'Rebel Rebel', 'Young Americans', 'Golden Years', 'Ashes To Ashes', 'Let's Dance' and 'Blue Jean'. 1990 release.
