"Sorry" is a song recorded by American singer Beyoncé for her sixth studio album, Lemonade (2016). The song was written and produced by Beyoncé, Wynter Gordon and Sean "Melo-X" Rhoden. It was sent to radio as the album's second single on May 3, 2016. The song's lyrics refer to a possible betrayal of the singer's companion with a woman named Becky.
The song's accompanying music video, premiered in a one-hour film aired on HBO called Lemonade. The video features multiple cameos including celebrities Serena Williams, Ibeyi, Amandla Stenberg, Quvenzhané Wallis, and Zendaya.

Beyoncé previously worked with Disney on the “live-action” CGI remake of The Lion King, for which she recorded new music and curated the companion album The Lion King: The Gift. The song was available to download for free. The song was accompanied by a music video directed by Knowles herself. Knowles references the Black Lives Matter movement, as well as her wealth, public influence, southern heritage, and African American culture.
