Roy Montgomery (born 1959) is a composer, guitarist and lecturer from Christchurch, New Zealand. Montgomery's mostly instrumental solo works have elements of post-rock, lo-fi, folk and avant-garde experimentation.

Just over a year after releasing their lauded debut LP, Yoncalla, Yumi Zouma return with Willowbank, the band’s sophomore album.
Limited edition Willowbank 12"s are pressed on baby blue vinyl and include sheet music for album highlight 'Carnation’ printed on premium cotton paper. Select limited edition LPs will also include hidden entry tickets to invite-only release parties in New York City and Los Angeles, featuring live and DJ sets from the band.
For the making of Willowbank, Yumi Zouma's members — Charlie Ryder, Josh Burgess, Christie Simpson and Sam Perry — settled on a plan to reunite for the New Zealand summer. To complete what would become their first significant work written and recorded entirely in their home country, they rented a studio in Christchurch’s semi-demolished CBD, on one of the few remaining blocks that still characterizes the city from before it was destroyed by a series of earthquakes. “It was as though there was a brief pause in all of our lives and we finally felt like a band from New Zealand,” said Burgess. “We were on home turf and creating from a place that felt fundamentally natural.” When you know it’s there, the feeling of rootedness is undeniable on Willowbank. Being connected to their origins on the bottom of the earth allowed the band’s members to craft another essential chapter in the Yumi Zouma storybook.

OPPOSITE SEX function like one of those giant overhead magnets at a scrapyard, prying out both the refuse and the treasure from the pile below. You'd think that would make for a confused assemblage; that is, if the scrap-pile in this case wasn't Dunedin, a cultural treasure-nest at the bottom of the world with temperatures that prompt the shivering fuzz you hear throughout HIGH DRAMA.
If bigshot thumbs-ups matter to you, you could recall that Opposite Sex have been repped by Stephen McRobbie from THE PASTELS and Marc Riley from THE FALL; A. Savage from PARQUET COURTS even put them out on his label. Opposite Sex always stuck out from the rest, even when in the US they were billed alongside weirdos like BILL CALLAHAN and PISSED JEANS. You can never beat a country like New Zealand for weirdos, but with HIGH DRAMA, this band can finally be judged on their own idiosyncratic merits. That's because, well, it's their best album so far.

Jordan Rakei is a New Zealand-Australian musician, singer, songwriter and record producer currently based in London, United Kingdom. Rakei has also released and performed under the moniker Dan Kye.

Air Max ‘97 returns to DECISIONS after two outings on Timedance with three new dance floor trips. EP opener Coriolis is a deviant drum and bass abstraction, flooded with pointillistic percussion, impish structural shifts and heady barometric upwellings. Mouthfeel offers a looser, mildly boggling polyrhythmic groove anchored around a chonky bass drum. Collapsing Void all but disappears into the trench, a crepuscular study in stop-start neck-snap bounce and icky sonics. Brief but dankly distilled, Coriolis is a potent product of Air Max ‘97’s well established, relentlessly volatile laboratory of rhythm and sound design.
