Paula Julie Abdul is an American singer, dancer, choreographer, actress, and television personality. She began her career as a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers at the age of 18 and later became the head choreographer for the Laker Girls, where she was discovered by The Jacksons.

All of the Stars is Secret Shine's second studio album, and their first in fourteen years. The band took an unscheduled nine-year break before returning in 2004 with the release of their back catalog on Clairecords, followed by two emphatically received EPs of new material in 2006 and live shows in Europe and America.

Although it could sit comfortably alongside shoegaze classics like Slowdive's Souvlaki, My Bloody Valentine's Loveless, and The Pale Saints' The Comforts of Madness, All of the Stars is a unique treasure and possibly the new wave of "stargaze."

Bay Area post-shoegaze sextet WHIRR generates suspenseful songs of soothing, razor sharp guitar textures backed by soft, cooling vocals. Bloom is the fourth studio album by American dream pop duo Beach House. It was co-produced by the band and Chris Coady, and was released on May 15, 2012, by Sub Pop, in Europe by Bella Union, in Australia by Mistletone Records, and in Mexico by Arts & Crafts. The album was written over two years of touring and was recorded at Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas, over seven weeks. Building on their previous album, Teen Dream (2010), the duo continued to add live drums to their song arrangements for Bloom, supplementing their drum machine rhythms.

halou主要由漂亮的女主音Rebecca Coseboom（25岁）和他的丈夫Ryan Coseboom（24岁）组成。
几乎所有的媒体都说他们的女主音Rebecca的声音和Cocteau Twins的Liz Fraser很相似，而音乐特征则和lamb很接近。事实上Rebecca的声音确实很不错，非常优美。而halou也是由一对夫妻组成的，加上其不时加入breakbeat的节拍，难怪许多媒体要把他们和lamb相提并论了。不过Rebecca的声音相比较lamb的女主音要更温柔，柔和一些，所以这点上和lamb的那种逼人的戾气是不同的。
而正因为Rebecca优美的嗓音，所以这个乐队在音乐上更具有可听性，也具有了流行的潜质。和smoke city一样，女主音的声音美丽有缺点也有优点：
其曲子的旋律势必会为了迎合女主音的嗓音特点而做的很流畅流行化，为的是能尽量体现女主音优美的嗓音特质，于是其音乐更容易使主流乐迷接受。而缺点同时也暴露出来了，这样一来的话，许多实验性的东西和沉重的节拍考虑到为了不影响女主音的声音，势必会大大减弱，整张专集好听是好听了，但从头到尾就是听到女主音优美的嗓音，此外就再也听不到什么其他的东西了。乐队变成了纯粹的女主音的个人表演，整体的音乐性必然会很单调了。
smoke city就是最好的例子，以至于我听完了就听完了，除了觉得女主音的嗓音很美之外，也就没什么印象了。好在halou虽然一些纯粹的大路货色的流行曲目也有不少，但同时还有几首注重节拍和纯粹实验的东西在，总算还有点进取心。

虽然是玩独立电子的，但是halou并不像其它电子乐队那样给人冷冰冰的感觉，女主音温暖，有些催眠性的嗓音从某种意义上中和了电子的冷漠，令人想起午后的恬淡时光，几乎使你忘记了他们是一支电子乐队。 01 Separation

土黄色的陈旧质感唱片封套，音色多变的吉他，沉稳的真鼓敲击，Halou终于由先前几乎完全围绕女声的泡泡电子彻底转变为一支由女声助阵的可听性很强的器乐乐队了。
灵动小巧的Trip-Hop拍子串烧Post Rock式的甜美吉他音色成就了“Tubefed”。“Honeythief”中女声的声音被处理得很有空间感，配上高潮时充满爆发力的大气鼓击，迷幻的吉他噪音墙，可以与Denali或Ilya的精心编曲相媲美。
“Everything Is Ok”里开头的几句尾音比如 "simplest terms"或"so bad"都酷似王菲在“当时的月亮”里的发音，旋律也很象，但这里听来更慵懒性感些。
“Morsecode”开头的寂寥吉他勾勒出一派萧瑟氛围，女声的高音部分很空灵，唯一的缺憾就是后面的IDM节奏和整首作品氛围搭配起来不太和谐。“Stonefruit”中粗犷的吉他线条和Grunge式的敲击一点都不输于Garbage。最具代表性的是“Wholeness”，气吞山河力拔千军的真鼓重拍，脏脏的吉他噪音，神经质的女声，用“真乐器的Trip-Hop”来形容再合适不过。
压轴曲“Things Stay The Same”开头曼妙的Trip-Hop节拍和背景忧伤的钢琴旋律，预示着这将又是一首只需10秒就能轻易俘虏人心的“忧郁系”歌曲，但后段突然响起的鼓击和迟延效果的吉他再次改变了整首作品的面貌。这里还有一个小细节，就是出现在第43秒里的露一小脸的吉他嚣叫声非常特别。
Halou的这张新专辑可能是上半年最让人感到意外惊喜的一张专辑了。

美国摇滚乐队小妖精(Pixies)将于4月发行他们的全新录音室专辑《Indie Cindy》，这张新唱片是他们自1991年的经典专辑《Trompe Le Monde》之后的首张正式大碟。
据了解，这张《Indie Cindy》一共将收录小妖精乐队的十二首新歌。虽然这是他们二十三年以来的第一张正式专辑，但对于一直关注他们的铁杆乐迷来说，这其中有多数歌曲已经是非常熟悉了，因为这张新碟是将他们过去一段时间内发行的两张EP唱片和刚刚公布的第三张EP(EP3)收录在了一起。
4月23日，小妖精乐队这张《Indie Cindy》将首先在日本上市，欧洲和世界其他地区的版本将在五天之后发行。这张专辑将通过小妖精乐队自己的厂牌Pixiesmusic发行，PIAS公司将负责销售。目前，乐迷们已经可以购买到小妖精乐队刚刚发行的《EP3》，此外，《Indie Cindy》专辑的双张黑胶版和豪华双CD版本都已经可以开始预订。

The Pixies have confirmed details of their first studio album since 1991's Trompe le Monde. Released in late April (23 April in Japan, 28 April in UK/Europe and 29 April in North America), Indie Cindy will be made available via the band’s own independent label, Pixiesmusic.
With co-founder Kim Deal having left the band last year, the new album was created by Black Francis, Joey Santiago and David Lovering, with help from long-time producer Gil Norton, who worked on Doolittle, Bossanova and Trompe le Monde. Artwork for the LP will be provided by graphic artist Vaughan Oliver who created the artwork for the band’s previous records.
The album was recorded in October 2012 at Rockfield Studios in Wales and includes the band's comeback single Bagboy, and material from EP-1 and EP-2, as well as three new songs from EP-3, which will be available from the band’s website at 4.30pm today.
It has been a turbulent year for the Pixies. After original bassist Kim Deal left the group six days into the recording of the new material, the band hired Kim Shattuck of the Muffs to replace her temporarily. However, her time with the Pixies was cut short. The band are now touring with bassist Paz Lenchantin, a bassist who has played with Zwan, A Perfect Circle and the Entrance Band.
“We started seriously talking about recording new music about four years ago,” Pixies drummer David Lovering explained. “New music seemed like something we just had to do, we just couldn’t continue to go out and tour without anything new. So the talk evolved into writing and recording, and we’re all very happy with the way everything worked out.”
Indie Cindy will be available in a number of different formats from the end of April, including a standard 12-track single-CD; a two-disc, gatefold album pressed on 180-gram vinyl; and an expanded digital download available exclusively through iTunes that includes a bonus 13-track set recorded during the band’s recent North American tour. Indie Cindy also gets a Record Store Day release in the form of a limited edition two-disc, deluxe gatefold release on 19 April.

Touché Amoré is an American post-hardcore band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2007. The band consists of vocalist Jeremy Bolm, guitarists Clayton Stevens and Nick Steinhardt, bassist Tyler Kirby, and drummer Elliot Babin. Among other releases, they have released five studio albums: ...To the Beat of a Dead Horse in 2009, Parting the Sea Between Brightness and Me in 2011, Is Survived By in 2013, Stage Four in 2016, and Lament in 2020.

On August 5, 2014, Time Bomb released Summer National, the three-song covers EP by The Offspring on iTunes and Spotify.
