드라마와 함께 음악으로도 감동을 이어가며 '신드롬'을 일으키고 있는 드라마 '도깨비' OST가 가수 헤이즈와 한수지의 콜라보레이션으로 대미를 장식한다.

도깨비의 마지막 OST인 헤이즈와 한수지가 참여한 'Round and round(라운드 앤 라운드)가 공개됐다.

이 곡은 드라마의 오프닝 타이틀 음악 및 극 중 각종 주요 장면에 삽입되어 첫 회 방영 직후부터 음원 발매 문의가 폭주한 데 이어

공유와 이동욱이 대파를 들고 모델처럼 걸어 화제를 모았던 '대파 런웨이 씬'에도 삽입되면서 시청자들은 물론 제작진들로부터도 완곡 발매 요청이 빗발쳐 정식 음원 발매로 이어지게 되었다.

이에 이번 음원은 드라마의 감동을 최대한 이어가기 위해 드라마에 삽입되었던 한수지가 부른 50초 가량의 원곡을 3분 30초 가량의 풀버전으로 편곡, 원곡의 감동에 보다 풍성함을 더하기 위해

헤이즈가 참여하여 두 사람의 콜라보레이션으로 곡을 완성시켰다.

이 곡은 전생과 환생, 운명적인 사랑에 대한 내용을 가사에 녹여내 '도깨비'의 전반적인 주제 의식을 아우르고 있으며, 가사와 절묘하게 어울리는 몽환적인 멜로디와 기분 좋은 긴장감이 리스너들의 귀를 중독시키는 곡이다.

다수의 OST 작업에 참여해 온 한수지의 몽환적인 보이스로 시작되는 인트로에, 헤이즈가 그 동안 선보여온 창법과는 전혀 다른 신비로운 느낌의 미성이 이어져 지금껏 들어보기 못한 독특한 형식과 분위기의 OST가 탄생했다.

'Round and round'는 '도깨비'의 음악감독인 남혜승이 전반적인 곡 작업을 맡았으며, 작곡가 박상희와 에이프릴 세컨드의 김경희가 작곡 및 작사에 힘을 보태 더욱 아름다운 곡을 완성시켰다.

The iconic Penguin Cafe join the Erased Tapes family and open a brand new chapter to their unique world with new album The Imperfect Sea – out May 5th 2017.
A penguin stands in the middle of a scorching desert, far away from its natural habitat. This mirrors composer Arthur Jeffes’ journey and exploration into a new musical territory. Penguin Cafe have evolved into something of their own at the hands of Arthur who started the band in 2009 with the continuation and homage to his father’s legacy, to the late Simon Jeffes’ Penguin Cafe Orchestra. Now, their upcoming album The Imperfect Sea echoes reminiscent sounds that embrace the new.
The album title refers to a saying by his father that “we wade in a sea of imperfections…”, reflecting upon the idea that beauty can be found amongst the chaos. “If there is a narrative to the album it’s coming to the acceptance of the imperfections in all aspects of life; moreover, the recognition that these imperfections and tiny randomnesses are in fact what make up the best parts”, Arthur explains.
This has also been highlighted by the striking cover artwork designed by FELD under the art direction of label founder Robert Raths, resembling a lone figure adapting to and accepting its surrounding environment.
Predominantly self-composed, the new album also features covers of electronic works by Simian Mobile Disco and Kraftwerk, along with a re-working of Simon’s Now Nothing. Arthur has developed from the traditional folk and jazz heritage Penguin Cafe Orchestra is known for into another realm of blissful ambience and dance music, recreated using strictly acoustic elements.
“For this album I wanted to effect a departure from where we’d been up to now. The idea was to create a musical world that would feel familiar to an audience more used to dance records but stay true to our own values. So we replaced electronic layers with real instruments: pads with real string sections, synths with heavily-effected pianos, and atmospheric analogue drones with real feedback loops ringing through a stone and a piano soundboard.”

The Official Soundtrack for Hollow Knight captures the vast underground world of the game. The story begins with soft piano notes echoing the Hollow Knight theme, and swells to orchestral scale as a kingdom's fate unfolds.
