Mozart's six piano trios are intimate works, but these three in particular balance the instruments so well and give each so much to do that they have a grandeur all their own; they never seem slight. All of these are lateMozart (two were composed after his 31st birthday). Mutter, as one might expect, plays them with warmth and a clear eye toward the 19th century; in other words, these are very romantic readings. This approach works exceptionally well in the rapturous slow movements of the 6th and 5th, the former marked "cantabile" and the latter "grazioso." Mutter and company play them exactly as marked ,and her ardency is beyond criticism. It is here that her partners are at their best as well: Müller-Schott's cello sings beautifully, and Previn's piano playing is a lesson in legato. Throughout, Mutter plays with impeccable technique and pitch; indeed, her ease in all passages is a joy to behold. Contrarily, Previn occasionally sounds rushed in fast passages. Some might prefer their Mozart to be more "classical, " i.e., crisper and with somewhat less sliding, but there's no denying the sheer loveliness--and love of music-making--that one gets from this CD. --Robert Levine

“我的父母不希望我入读茱莉亚音乐学院”David笑着说，承认入读茱莉亚音乐学院是很多父母对他们子女的梦想。“他们就是认为我不须要。但我一定要脱离他们的影响。对我来说在茱莉亚的日子让我可在音乐上得到洁净；在这之前，我生活在一个壳里，每天二十四小时对着那些大人。所以，能够和同龄的音乐家一起以及不再被当作成为神童般看待，简直是一个解脱。”他更发现他在十五岁时因要为 Deutsche Grammophon 灌录24首《巴格尼尼随想曲》而拉琴过度，伤及了他的背部和肩膀，而入读茱莉亚正好让他能好好停下来休息。
在读书期间，David Garrett 在一次派对上，被模特儿星探看中。跟着他便开展了他的兼职模特儿事业，为Vogue等时尚杂志及名牌时装Armani等担任模特儿。事实上，David Garrett 很享受他的读书生活，除了到 Nightclubs 和派对玩耍外，他更学会冲浪(surfing)，“学到刚好能够令女生着迷就是了。”David Garrett 说。

Celtic Treasure is a celebration of Hayley's family roots, and her grandparent's journey across the World on the first boat that left Ireland for New Zealand in the 1880s - taking with them a rich musical heritage. Her grandmother - a singer, and her grandfather, who played the accordion, were to be important influences on Hayley's musical development. Hayley grew up hearing her grandmother singing Italian opera arias in English. Hayley has continued this tradition by recording the well-known aria One Fine Day... ('Un bel di) from Puccini's Madama Butterfly. Hayley's grandmother also sang Irish folk tunes, and Hayley includes one of them - Danny Boy on the album as a tribute to her. Another Irish folk tune Sonny, is the first recording in which Hayley accompanies herself on the piano. In the same vein as Hayley's signature song Pokarekare Ana from her debut album Pure, Hayley's deep sense of pride as a New Zealander, and the simple beauty of her voice come together in E Para Ra - a Maori lovesong reflecting her own love of her homeland. Hayley's first recordings of her own songs bring together all these musical influences. They include her compositions Let Me Lie and Summer Rain and her lyrics to a haunting lute song by the Elizabethan English composer John Dowland, called simply Melancholy Interlude.
