Use Your Illusion II is the fourth studio album by the American rock band Guns N' Roses. It was one of two albums released in conjunction with the Use Your Illusion Tour, and as a result the two albums are sometimes considered a double album. Bolstered by lead single "You Could Be Mine", Use Your Illusion II was the slightly more popular of the two albums, selling 770,000 copies its first week and debuting at No. 1 on the U.S. charts, ahead of Use Your Illusion I's first week sales of 685,000.

《G N' R LIES》，又名《Lies》，中文译名《谎言》，是美国著名硬摇滚乐队枪炮与玫瑰于1988年12月6日发行的第二张专辑。 其实这本算是第二版，乐队成名前，1986年曾经发行过，但是歌曲比这本少。而且，这本专集中更多的运用了原声吉他。其中《Mama Kin》是翻唱AeroSmith的作品。《You Are Crazy》则是《Appetite For Destruction》中同名歌曲的原声版本。

他们于1993年匆匆的出版了一张 Punk 翻唱专辑《The Spaghetti Incident?》。《The Spaghetti Incident?》是一张以 Hard Rock/Heavy Metal 的手法表现 Punk 的专辑，专辑完成的很顺利，似乎又回到了《Appetite for Destruction》专辑时期痛快的日子，本来是想以 EP 方式发行，但是市场变化使他们还是决定以专辑形式发行，乐队翻唱了 The Stooges, New York Dolls 等 Punk 先锋的歌曲。在辉煌的《Use Your Illusion I》和《Use Your Illusion II》后，Guns N´Roses 想是似乎只是如何支配歌迷而不是在艺术上的进取，这张专集由于是 Guns N´Roses 出品，因此卖的不错，但是不如前两张专集。他们的音乐则具有喧嚣但是出色的旋律，同时拥有旋律非常出色的乐器演奏，他们的音乐涵盖了“HEAVY METAL”和“HARD ROCK”，他们的内核是 PUNK 式的 HARD ROCK。

Kings of Leon is an American rock band that formed in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1999. The band is composed of brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill with their cousin Matthew Followill.

2009 album from the Denver-based quartet, the follow-up to their enormously successful How To Save A Life. The Fray, who exploded into worldwide success with that album, have captured the skilled songwriting that broke them and, with the help of acclaimed producers Mike Flynn and Aaron Johnson, created a set of songs sure to make them household names. 从单曲Sweet And Low到Can’t Love, Can’t Hurt的Ep，最终也该轮到这张正式大碟了。Augustana彻头彻尾诠释了因为单曲而大放光芒的神话，当然在这里我不是因为Boston而贬低All The Stars And Boulevards中的其他歌曲。华丽的英伦忧伤味或许始终是Augustana的一大标志，我非常欣赏他们的钢琴演绎，似乎只要那简单干净的钢琴音色一响起，Dan那独一无二的声音也便缓缓而至。其实说实话Dan的口音以及演唱方式对我来说并不感觉很英伦，只是他们的音乐技巧以及节奏旋律的把握似乎受了英式音乐的影响，一个完美的中间产物造就了如今大红大紫的Augustana，无论是偏爱美国主流Pop的人，还是喜欢英式摇滚的朋友都会趋之若骛。动听的旋律以及娓娓道来的温暖感从Boston延续到了Sweet And Low。倾听Augustana的同时，想必很多人都会感受到那股莫名的忧伤，而这种忧伤因为旋律的出色又深得人心，难怪很多人都会时不时的随手播放他们的歌曲。在一阵一阵洗涤心灵的钢琴声后，我们又会感觉到雨后彩虹般的绚丽和舒服，久久不能平静，不能自拔，这就是Augustana所能制造的美妙。

Augustana is a four-piece group from L.A. that combines the introspective grittiness of American guitar rock (think the Wallflowers and Counting Crows) with the wide-angle theatrics of U.K. guitar/piano rock (think Radiohead before they went nuts or a less epic Coldplay). That may sound interesting, but their debut major label album, All the Stars and Boulevards, is a fairly hollow exercise that feels like it was concocted in a record label boardroom. That's not to say that it was or that all plans hatched in that manner are inherently wrong. It just points to the elements (originality, excitement, soul) that are missing from Augustana. From the overly processed guitars to singer Dan Layus' simultaneously bland and over-emoted vocals to the slickness of the melodies and the clichéd authenticity of the perfectly crafted arrangements, there isn't much to sink your teeth into here. Even for fans of the bands Augustana is so obviously influenced by, they will feel like they are listening to a third- or fourth-generation Xerox copy. All that said, the album is still listenable in a strange kind of way since the lack of any distinguishing features allows the music to be perfect background music. Sort of like elevator AOR. Sort of like a wasted 40 minutes.

Take one listen to Augustana's self-titled third album and it's clear that this band has thrown off the shackles of playing it safe. Lead vocalist and lyricist Daniel Layus has dug deep and emerged with a passionate, rootsy rock collection that is distinctively American, recalling the muscularity and epic sweep of albums by Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen in their heyday. The album is a shimmering blend of rock, folk, and country that manages to sound both modern and timeless. The subtle, streamlined production by Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Norah Jones) lets the true beauty of Layus soulful vocal delivery, as well as the band's barnstorming performances, shine through.
"A lot of the songs are about digging in your heels and not giving up the fight for someone you love," he says. Layus describes the first single, "Steal Your Heart," as "an ultimate song of love and hope. I've never really written about that before," he says. "I've never done anything that blatant. It's a hand-in-the-sky, take-no-prisoners kind of moment where you just have no choice but to lay it all out there."
