《狮子王》应该是好莱坞历史上最成功的卡通片，它的故事情节由莎士比亚名着《王子复仇记》改编而来，但是没有保留那个悲剧的结尾，影片末尾狮子王带着小狮子感受生命的循环，主题曲响起，真是荡气回肠。

第一首象是序曲一般，大提琴奏出了一个低沉的音，预示着故事的悲剧性，风笛以一个稍颤抖的清脆的音打破了沉闷的空气，但更显得空旷，随后，那首影片一开始的由爱尔兰女歌手轻咏的熟悉的旋律回荡开来，好象在讲述一个古老的被人述说千次的故事，但她还是那么深不可测，正如老年的ROSE说要身临其境的感受是不同的，序曲就是序曲，不忘把听者引如故事的开端，旋律变得轻快，一开始谁叫TITANIC是一艘载着梦想的希望之船呢。
第二首一开始是JACK邀请ROSE参加他们所谓的真正的PARTY的一句开场白，一群平庸但享有人世间真正快乐的人，伴着欢快的爱尔兰民族音乐，快乐地舞蹈吧，里面还有主人公两人一边舞蹈一边对话的电影原声，真是会把人再次拉回那个三等舱里的场面。
第三首到第六首都是电影中的一些场景的背景音乐，有贵族们晚宴时渲染气氛的音乐，但显然他们不会在意这些音乐的美妙，也有JACK作画时的那首主旋律的钢琴曲，当然还不少沉船时人们慌忙逃亡的音乐，当时看电影时只在意画面，没注意音乐，现在听听，能听出JAMES的精致细心了，弦乐队不时地奏出一连串带有紧张情绪的琶音，并运用自然跳弓来加快速度，几个大号会在紧要关头吹不几个不协调的音，加上钢琴好似乱弹和定音鼓不停的敲击，把这一灾难性的沉船描写地栩栩如生。
慌忙的人群中有四位镇定的绅士，他们将他们毕生的事业延续到了生命的最后，这是真实的故事，第七首就是这一室内乐队在甲板上奏响的最后一段旋律，带有一种视死如归的情思，但不同于革命英雄的那种，还记得这首乐曲奏响时那个口是心非的神甫在教人死前的祷告，他是虚伪的，而这四位乐师才是真正的上帝的使者，面对死亡，他们是用一种平静安详的态度，正如镜头划过的一对年迈的老夫妻携手共枕，浪漫地面对死亡，好似一首安魂曲。
船沉了，ROSE躺在木版上无助地唱着那首民歌，周围渐渐地寂静下来了，第八首是女声清唱的，清唱中还伴着ROSE对JACK说：Jack there is a boat，绝望的她差点就放弃她自己了，听到这里，莫名的忧伤不断涌上来，记得N年前在看电影的时候也是在这里，流出氯化钠溶液的。
悲凉的萧吹出了一片空旷，带有爱尔兰风味的小提琴声似乎又把人领到了很久很久以前，故事很美，你只能感受，但神秘依然存在，因为你没有身临其境。（这是第九首，很美妙）
大号吹的像是皇家仪式一般，冗长不失威严，可能就是这艘英年早逝的豪华轮船的葬歌吧。
MY HEART WILL GO ON，在这张专辑中的亮点就是加入了JACK,ROSE的话，把这两个不同世界里的人的邂逅又笼统的概括了一遍，更显这个故事的浪漫性，个人以为不是主题曲而是篇尾曲，歌曲在JACK要ROSE的PROMISE中结束。
最后两首一首还是甲板上的那首，只是用小提琴独奏来完成，另一首是主旋律，告诉你一场悲剧结束，谢谢欣赏。是整个故事的结尾，其作用是加强回味性吧。

詹姆斯·卡梅隆的3D立体大片《Avatar 阿凡达》日前正式公布了主题曲的演唱人选和电影原声发售细节，影片主题曲将由24岁的新晋英国歌后 Leona Lewis 利昂娜·刘易斯 献唱。
这首名为《I See You》的主题歌由两届奥斯卡金牌配乐大师 James Horner 詹姆斯·霍纳 和 Simon Franglen 负责词曲。12年前，正是他们二人为卡梅隆的《泰坦尼克号》创作出了传唱全球的主题歌《My Heart Will Go On 我心永恒》。James Horner 詹姆斯·霍纳 同时也负责为《Avatar 阿凡达》全片谱写配乐，这是他在1986年的《异形2》和《泰坦尼克号》之后第三次与卡梅隆合作。

"This soundtrack CD is another of my favorite examples of how you need not necessarily have to see or remember the movie to enjoy the music. It's also the type of soundtrack which, after you have seen the movie, cries out, "Listen to me! Listen to me!" whenever your favorite scenes in the movie cross your mind.
"Legends of the Fall" is the first part of what I call "The Horner 90's Trilogy". That is, three film soundtracks, all composed by James Horner, all sounding vividly the same in many places, all released approximately within one year of each other. The other two parts of the Trilogy would be "Braveheart" and "Titanic."
The music of "Legends" contains equal amounts of dark and light tone colors. A soft, romantic melody (written and performed by Samuel for Susannah) and an equally beautiful main theme are used to underscore the sense of family warmth and importance felt by the Ludlows before the war. Jay Ungar, famous for "Ashokan Farewell", the theme from "The Civil War" by Ken Burns, makes a notable appearance on these tracks.
With World War I and everything following it, the music become distinctly darker, particularly the cues illustrating Tristan's behaviors and perilous adventures. Take note, listeners: Horner will do an excellent job of making you feel what Tristan (Brad Pitt) feels. In my honest opinion, this album is worth buying for Track 11, "Revenge" by itself.
"Revenge" is a pivotal point in the film. Tristan is being released from prison for illegal transportation of wine during Prohibition and aggravated assault. During their questioning of him the arresting officers fired some warning bullets into the air---fatally striking Tristan's wife Isabella. While the music is playing, everything happens at once: two government agents are shot, Tristan stalks and kills one of the officers who shot his wife, Susannah (Julia Ormond) struggles with the fact that even though she is married to Alfred (Aidan Quinn)she still loves Tristan, cuts off her hair----and shoots herself finding the pain of a broken heart unbearable. Observant listeners will take note of the sound of this track to a simillar one on the "Braveheart" soundtrack, also called Revenge.
Bottom line: this is a must for any James Horner fan, or soundtrack genre fan in general. It's simply one of Horner's best."

Soundtrack to acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s epic action thriller Dunkirk. The album features an original score by Academy-, Golden Globe-, and Grammy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer, who previously collaborated with Nolan on the director’s Interstellar, Inception, and The Dark Knight Trilogy. It features a powerful and unique score unlike anything before produced by this formidable and inspired artistic pairing. “Dunkirk is one of the greatest suspense stories of all time, and our film needed a score to reflect that and to propel the audience through a telling of this story that is more thriller than war film,” explained Christopher Nolan. “Hans’s unique score drives the visceral sense of action the film needs to put the audience right into the story, using images, sound and music.”

Deutsche Grammophon is excited to announce the November release of Arrival (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) with music composed and produced by Johann Johannsson.
The Paramount Pictures film Arrival, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, is the composers third cinematic collaboration with French-Canadian director Denis Villeneuve, following on from last years crime thriller Sicario, which garnered Johannsson an Oscar nomination for best original score. As recently announced, their next joint project will be the much anticipated sequel to the legendary science fiction film Blade Runner.
Arrival stars Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker, Adams playing the lead role of a linguist who attempts to communicate with the alien intelligence controlling a fleet of spacecraft that has suddenly and ominously appeared at sites all around the globe. As mankind teeters on the brink of global war, she and her team embark on a race against time to find out why these craft have come to earth. More than a conventional sci-fi thriller, this is a thoughtful, intellectual drama with a genre twist.
Arrival is a very unique science fiction film and I decided early on that the human voice would feature prominently in the score, says Johannsson. It seemed a natural choice, given that the story is very much about language and communication.
Johannsson worked with several singers and vocal ensembles and combined both classical and avant-garde elements in his compositions, augmenting his already unique approach of combining orchestral writing with digital sound processing. Among those appearing are the prestigious Theatre of Voices, conducted by Paul Hillier, and artists such as Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe and Hildur Guonadottir, known for their unique musicianship. Johannsson also integrated some found sounds from the legendary avant-garde vocalist Joan La Barbara into his score. The soundtrack was recorded in Prague, Copenhagen and his native Reykjavik.
