台北獨立搖滾樂團「Doodle」成軍以來以簡約編制把玩瞪鞋（Shoegaze）樂風，融合各種曲式，以層層堆疊的吉他音牆與民謠旋律捕捉大空間迷離聲響與哀傷情緒、迷幻元素與似乎殘留自夢境的記憶碎片，將此總總加以旋轉再放大。樂團2011年發行首張專輯《Sacrifice in Despair》，獲第三屆金音創作獎最佳新人（團）獎。此後Doodle進入幾年沈靜期，並由原錄音師Zen加入擔綱新鼓手，尋求激發新的默契與創作方向。樂團經歷密集的閉關創作，2015年開始新專輯錄製計畫，並於同年受邀日本參加以瞪鞋樂風為主題的「Total Feedback」活動，共演樂團包括曾被美國獨立名廠「Clairecords」稱作「Japanese King of Shoegazer」 的「cruyff in the bedroom」，以及「Broken Little Sister」、「Plastic Girl in Closet」……等具代表性日本瞪鞋名團。
《Endless Dreamless》專輯中歌曲由迷幻音牆層層堆砌，以包裹於其中的流暢旋律探尋隱藏在內心之中的脆弱情緒，充滿著細膩卻又躁動的無盡矛盾。專輯的籌備開始於一次錄音室現場同步收音計畫，部分歌曲自此定下主要的架構。據此樂團於2015年發行了《Dark Fetish / Only Dreaming》手工迷你專輯與七吋黑膠。此後樂團開始將歌曲進行更精細的重新編曲與錄製，使其樣貌更完整地呈現。《Endless Dreamless》專輯依舊由身兼鼓手與錄音師的Zen於「112F Recording Studio」操刀錄音及混音工程，並遞交給美國「Golden Mastering」的JJ Golden進行母帶後製處理。 除一般CD外，樂團更限量製作了兩百張彩色星爆黑膠。專輯主視覺由樂團固定合作夥伴，「草根鬼才漫畫少女」周依設計，依歌曲仍未拋光卻富有生命力的初步混音版本發想，自由地讓聽覺的感動傳遞到指尖。《Endless Dreamless》專輯自慢板至中板，充滿細膩的節奏感與抑揚頓挫，從巨大音牆到悲傷緩飆的空靈情緒轉折尤其值得激賞，一層層帶領聆聽者進入一次無止境的憂傷旅程。

川秋沙成軍於2009年，是近三年頗受矚目的臺灣樂團。以臺語詩文、迷幻／瞪鞋曲風成為風格獨幟的團體。除了受到Street Voice見證大團系列活動肯定，也獲得行政院新聞局的樂團錄音補助，完成首張專輯「人造沙洲」。
主腦林村宜以臺語創作詞曲，充滿情緒的吉他，飽滿結實的貝斯，以及爽脆俐落的鼓點，構成一幅九零年代的純美畫面。將非口語的高難度臺語詩文交由語氣略帶疏離感的女主唱演繹，獨特的演唱方式為專輯帶來更多神秘感及驚奇。除此之外，「人造沙洲」的專輯後製工作由Patricia Sullivan擔當，她是電影「全面啟動」配樂、U2樂團專輯的後製錄音師，更為這張專輯增添了更多戲劇化的聲音圖像。
首張專輯「人造沙洲」，川秋沙以物寄情。歌詞述說著對家庭、土地、及現實的無奈與渴求；而這張專輯的創作的核心概念，以抒情的方式對自我提出疑問。九零年代至今臺灣的藝文創作蓬勃發展，卻缺乏深厚的文化堆積，「就像人造沙洲，隨時都會飄移消散。」對創作者而言，自我檢視和自我表現都是必要的過程，但「人造沙洲」般的創作環境的確令人困惑，可喜的是我們可以從川秋沙的音樂裡聽到滿腔熱情及渴望。以小調構成的樂天旋律，川秋沙告訴我們：回歸最單純的動機，便能無畏的邁步向前。

The songwriting pair of guitarist Thom Hill and vocalist Linda Jarvis would spend two years working on the tracks which would form Era in East London s Holy Mountain Studio, the first time the band had spent in a professional studio. The album is a result of this experience; far maturer, denser and considered than the band s home recorded debut. Points recall the textures and expansive ambition of Spaceman 3, Neu! and Deerhunter yet the album is never stylistically referential to any particular period or style.

The DEAFCULT debut full length AURAS, is a record about dreams; the ghosts of people, places and situations past that haunt our nights sleep, or lack-thereof. Reflecting on romanticised memories as a disaffected suburban teenager, tales of love, drugs, death and what it meant to both discover and lose yourself. You told yourself it was going to last forever, but with an underlying sadness that you knew it couldn’t last.
After 2015’s self-titled demo, the Brisbane six-piece sought to go further towards the margins —noisier, more precise, more dense, simply more. And yet, they became something much closer to a guitar-pop band in the process. From a certain angle, they are. AURAS has anthems firmly planted throughout, often behind the fuzz and haze, sometimes pushed to abstraction. But even in its most distorted moments, there is a gentleness to the music. AURAS is reflecting on some overwhelming themes, after all.

This is the second full-length from this British group. The sound is best described as shoegazery wall-of-sound pop, in the vein of My Bloody Valentine via Jesus And Mary Chain and the Drop Nineteens. Layers upon layers of guitars and synths over bass and drums, with dreamy male vocals somewhere in the mix. The songs are generally in the four-five minute range, which is long enough for them to establish and maintain their mood, but not too long for them to overstay their welcome. To be honest, there's nothing very unique or memorable about this album, but damn the songs are pretty!
