When the movie ended, I was already feeling pretty great about what I just watched, but then I woke up at 2:30 in the middle of the night with a fully-formed theory about it and decided then and there that it was absolutely deserving of 5 stars.
I cannot wait to rewatch this and reinterpret everything all over again.

Not unlike Aaron Taylor-Johnson, I don't know that I see the appeal of Lily James.
Riz Ahmed was as great as ever, though!

A pretty competent body-swap movie. Jamie Lee Curtis does a pretty great teenage Lindsay Lohan impersonation, but I was honestly a little taken aback by how flawless Lohan's take on Curtis's mom was.
(I originally rated it 3.5 stars right after watching it, but I bumped it up to 4 after sleeping on it - the two leads are just that good!)

I suppose growing up on and loving this series as a kid probably plays into my rating here, but to me, this is a perfect comedy. Silly wordplay on top of visual gags galore. Always fun to revisit.

It's possible that I'm rating this too high by one-half or one-full star, aided perhaps by knowing nothing about the movie going into it, but I really enjoyed this movie!
Some dumb character decisions aside, I thought it did a great job of exploring themes and telling an overall compelling story.
Also, there's one fight near the end that was really great.

I did enjoy that it was a family affair and rather enjoyed their chemistry and story, however, and the deaths were decent enough.

As a comedy, this hits more like a 3 for me, but as a horror, this hits more like a 4. I thought of going 3.5, but the further away I am from it, the more I'm appreciative of that and am a full-on 4.
