Chapter 1: The Kate Bush Story
This documentary explores Kate Bush's career and music, from January 1978's Wuthering Heights to her 2011 album 50 Words for Snow, through the testimony of some of her key collaborators and those she has inspired. Contributors include the guitarist who discovered her (Pink Floyd's David Gilmour), the choreographer who taught her to dance (Lindsay Kemp) and the musician who she said 'opened her doors' (Peter Gabriel), as well as her engineer and ex-partner (Del Palmer) and several other collaborators (Elton John, Stephen Fry and Nigel Kennedy). Also exploring their abiding fascination with Kate are fans (John Lydon, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui) and musicians who have been influenced by her (St Vincent's Annie Clark, Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes, Tori Amos, Outkast's Big Boi, Guy Garvey and Tricky), as well as writers and comedians who admire her (Jo Brand, Steve Coogan and Neil Gaiman).
Chapter 2: Kate Bush at the BBC
Between 1978 and 1994 Kate Bush appeared on a variety of BBC programmes including Saturday Night at the Mill, Ask Aspel, the Leo Sayer show and Wogan, as well as Top of the Pops. This compilation showcases her performances of hit songs such as Wuthering Heights, Babooshka, Running up That Hill and Hounds of Love alongside other intriguing and lesser known material in the BBC studios.

American Masters explores the life and career of Pulitzer Prize- and National Book Award-winning novelist Philip Roth, often referred to as the greatest living American writer. Reclusive and diffident, Roth grants very few interviews, but for the first time, allowed a journalist to spend 10 days interviewing him on camera.
The result is Philip Roth: Unmasked, a 90-minute documentary that features Roth freely discussing very intimate aspects of his life and art as he has never done before. The film has its world theatrical premiere March 13-19 for one week only at Film Forum in New York City and premieres nationally Friday, March 29 on PBS (check local listings) in honor of Roth’s 80th birthday.

The music burst out of the black community at a time of self-discovery, struggle and social change. Funk reflected all of that. It has produced some of the most famous, eccentric and best-loved acts in the world - James Brown, Sly & the Family Stone, George Clinton's Funkadelic and Parliament, Kool & the Gang and Earth, Wind & Fire.
During the 1970s this fun, futuristic and freaky music changed the streets of America with its outrageous fashion, space-age vision and streetwise slang. But more than that, funk was a celebration of being black, providing a platform for a new philosophy, belief system and lifestyle that was able to unite young black Americans into taking pride in who they were.
Today, like blues and jazz, it is looked on as one of the great American musical cultures, its rhythms and hooks reverberating throughout popular music. Without it hip-hop wouldn't have happened. Dance music would have no groove. This documentary tells that story, exploring the music and artists who created a positive soundtrack at a negative time for African-Americans.

Raymond Blanc – Kitchen Secrets was filmed against the dynamic backdrop of Raymond’s working kitchen at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons. This unique and natural setting allowed viewers to experience the real life environment of a Michelin starred kitchen; as deliveries arrived, Raymond showed how to pick the best produce and shares his knowledge with young chefs.
However this was not a series about complicated fine dining and time consuming chemistry. As Raymond puts it, “something that appears difficult is just a combination of simple elements. This series is about using some of the techniques I use in my professional life to make simple food the best it can be. Most of these dishes are the kind of cooking I do when I’m at home.”
Within each programme, Raymond shared his passion and knowledge in order to select the best produce and he will focus on a different ingredient, from tomatoes and eggs to game and fish, and demonstrate four different dishes each week incorporating this ingredient, from a quick meal to prepare after work, to weekend dinner parties. The finale of each episode was be a signature recipe from Raymond’s restaurant, such as the Café Crème. As Raymond says, “it took me six months to perfect this dessert and I will share this recipe with you. You can make it as simple as you want to, as each technique can create dozens of simple desserts

普段は宗教や人生をテーマにした番組を担当しているNHK文化・福祉番組部の村野史子ディレクターが、悟りの世界で生きる僧侶と、アイドルとして芸能界に身を置きながら「人生」「愛」「いのち」「生きる大切さ」など人としての普遍的なテーマをライブや雑誌などで口にする堂本剛が語り合ったらどうなるのかと思いから企画し堂本にオファーしたところ、ちょうど”自分”について話す機会が欲しかったと快諾されたため、放送が決定した[1]。そして2010年に「秋の番組たまごまつり」と銘打たれたNHK番組たまごの一企画でタイトル『ココロ見』として立ち上げられ、NHK Eテレにおいて、「現代人のこころ」をテーマに堂本剛が人生を上手に生きる知恵を授かる旅に出ることを目的とした紀行・対談番組としてスタートした[2]。
