Destroyer, the wordy, glammed-up project led by New Pornographer Dan Bejar, will release their ninth album, Kaputt, on January 25 via Merge.
In a press release, Bejar lists off 22 things we might want to know about the album.

It’s fitting that Still Corners would call their major-label debut something as elementarily ghoulish as Creatures of an Hour. The half-American, half-English duo makes seductively eerie electro-pop, with inspiration coming in equal shares from the legendary Euro-centric synthwave movement and heralded Italian horror-flick soundtracks. Like the cinephiles they are, Still Corners emphasis mood and atmosphere as the most important part of their music – with Greg Hughes likening himself to something of a director. It must be working; it got them signed to Sub Pop after all. Creatures of an Hour is set for release on Oct. 11.

In the last three years, Nika Roza Danilova has gone from being an outsider, experimental, teenage noise-maker to a fully-fledged, internationally-celebrated, electronic-pop musician. It was a huge accomplishment, and, despite her age (young), her origins (mid-western, desolate), her accelerated scholastic achievements (high school and college were each completed in three years) and her diminutive physical size (4'11", 90 lbs), she has triumphed.
