God is An Astronaut的配器虽然遵循英式摇滚的传统，但还是充满了古老冲动与激情。God is Astronaut这支柏林的乐队是2002年由两兄弟Niels 和Torsten还有他们的朋友Lloyd三人行而成的。他们的音乐清澈而具有质感，旋律优美却多愁善感，并且运用大量美妙的电子声效。2002年成立，2003年3月在他们自己成立的厂牌Revive Records发表了第一张专辑《The End of the Beginning》。2005.2第二张专辑《All is Violent，All is Bright》依然在Revive Records下发表。God is An Astronaut在采访中形容他们的音乐是“Electronic，chill out synthisised rock ”，这是由于他们受主流摇滚的影响同时又喜欢The Chemical Brothers（着名Synth pop乐队），而将两者合而为一的产物。
第一次听这张《All is Violent，All is Bright》已经让我爱不释手，在我听过的音乐中特别是postrock这类型中，God is Astronaut创作出来的声音竟然是如此独特。
如湖水般清澈，如空气般清新。虽然专辑名字中有Violent，但是猛烈程度却不如Mogwai，而因为有Bright，明亮欢快，尤胜Sigur Ros，旋律悦耳程度简直让我惊喜。第三首Forever Lost中清脆的钢琴配上空灵的吉他，我完全沉浸在那种境界，永远迷失在那优美的旋律中。
God is an astronaut是一支来自爱尔兰首都都柏林的后摇团体，风格是吉他为主的器乐后摇。《Fragile》一段轻柔的吉他开篇，仿佛来自遥远的外太空一样空灵飘渺，但要是你认为接下来是更加延长的继续下去的话就错了，歌曲进行到一半的时候，吉他开始更有节奏的轰鸣，变的更加饱满更有力量。《All Is Violent All Is Bright》带我们进入另一个魔幻的世界，行至3分钟的时候，吉他构建的空间氛围感越来越强烈，形成一种压迫感，却在你变的狂躁不安之前噶然而止。奇怪的是，我们没有感到不适，反而觉得很爽。第三首有一个很好听的名字《Forever Lost》,不同于其他歌曲的是，用钢琴弹奏取代了吉他而作为引子，显得特别乾净。整张唱片的旋律都漂亮的很，很容易被记住，但每首歌呈现给我们的世界是不同的。when everything dies！你会联想到什么？末世的荒凉，还是万物待生的希望？专辑的最后一首歌《When Everything Dies》却奇妙的将两种感觉带到你面前。
如果你在午夜十分因为某种原因而无法入睡，那么这张唱片绝对是带你进入梦幻旅行最好选择。

Moving Mountains sounds like a merging of Hammock and The December Drive. It has beautifully ambient portions intermixed with a kind of post-emo vocal styling. This album is great for fans of post-rock, post-emo, indie, and rock music in general

MOONLIT SAILOR isn't reinventing the post-rock genre on their sophomore full-length SO CLOSE TO LIFE...they are well on their way to perfecting it. This Swedish outfit laces cinematic, rise-and-ripple moments with unpredictable hooks and catchy melodies that effectively hold your hand through the peaks and valleys of emotional connection within their songs. These young lasses know exactly how to snare a listener with layers and mood...slowly, effortlessly, quietly (well, not always quietly) reeling you in. An instrumentally solid, exploratory and dynamically varied album with intense depth, So Close To Life is filled with highly spiritual and epic moments. "The theme or feeling behind this record is life experiences. The true beauty of music without words is that it can mean something different to each one of us...it's so close to life...it's about substance above all else. Each song title was determined based on what the song reminds the band of (for example, this reminds us of...Hope, this reminds us of...Fresh Snow, etc.)" says bass guitarist Markus Rundl. "We were very fortunate to have fantastic artist Alexander Jansson design our cover. We wanted people to feel the music by just looking at the cover, and it achieves just that...it makes one curious and conjures thought. Every song title is represented in some way in the artwork. For example, the anchor refers to the song Hope and the aeroplane refers to Landvetter (an airport near Gothenburg)" adds Rundl. You can't judge a book (album) by its cover, but you can when the band is MOONLIT SAILOR. For those yearning for a post-rock masterpiece, this is essential listening. This album is that good. It gives you hope.

《A Footprint Of Feelings》是他们自己独立发行的专辑。纵观收录到首张专辑《A Footprint of Feelings》的七首歌曲，最长的也不过四分半钟，所有歌曲相加还不到三十分钟，甚至抵不上某些乐队慢慢叙述的单曲时长。然而就是在这有限的时间里，Moonlit Sailor爆发出了惊人的力量，让通透的吉他担当主角，伴随鼓声的辅助，旋律优美，意犹未尽，用短短几分钟阐述心机，感观而直接，贴切又浅尝辄止。
单就音乐整体感觉而言，Moonlit Sailor跟来自宝岛台湾的阿飞西雅有着相似之处，同样是歌曲短小，旋律优美，情绪饱满。但一方水土养一方人，阿飞西雅稍显潮湿，且心思缜密，值得反复推敲。而Moonlit Sailor则要明朗开阔得多，张扬外露。毕竟在歌曲长度上，Moonlit Sailor要更为浓缩，自然也不像阿飞西雅那般承载了众多想法。
以专辑《A Footprint of Feelings》的《Waterwall》为例，伊始阶段，零星的响声是积累的基础。之后，奔腾之势渐起，但仍有所克制。随即鼓点大作，于是感情喷涌而出。动静结合的传统模式在此发挥得淋漓尽致，坚强与隐忍倾泻而出，如同沉默凝固的时间。再看《Earls Court》，更显得飘逸；而《Once We Were Children》色彩明媚，基调斑斓，观看了重播的过去。
专辑中的其他歌曲，是不便一一细碎阐述的，只因它们稍纵即逝，情绪亦短暂纷杂。这点上，有点像绚烂的气泡，也跟旅途中多变的念头不谋而合了。因为，你也不知道下一秒自己将去向何方。

Parhelia are a 4-piece from Dublin Ireland, who play refined Instrumental Post- Rock. They released their debut Ep “First Light” in 2006 and followed it up with “Oceans Apart” in 2007.Parhelia have undertaken tours in Ireland and Norway and appeared alongside acts such as Dead Soul Tribe, 65 Days of Static, Slunt, Cougar and most Notably Guns N’ Roses and Therapy? on the Irish leg of the Download Festival!After a short hiatus, Parhelia regrouped in 2008. Much of this year was spent writing and rehearsing the album “Shifting Sands”, recording commenced October 2008 and the album should see the light of day early 2009..

With its self-titled debut album, The American Dollar proved one thing: it could write one hell of a single. "War on Christmas," the album’s opener, is one of the most engaging and transcendent songs written in the past couple of years, despite having running time of less than four minutes. However, this track proved to be a double edged sword, as it appears that the band used all of its talents in crafting it and left nothing for the following nine songs. When the release of the follow-up album, The Technicolour Sleep, was announced for early 2007, one could not help but wonder if the new album might go the way of the final nine tracks of the debut and fall under the shadow of the almighty "War on Christmas."
It is debatable whether or not the band itself recognized the disparity between "War on Christmas" and the rest of its debut, but regardless, all doubts are washed away within the first 3:12 of The Technicolour Sleep. "Rudiments of a Spiritual Life" blasts its way out of the speakers, effectively instilling hope that this album will live up to the band's initial potential. The overall feeling of The Technicolour Sleep has not changed much from the self-titled debut as The American Dollar still employ a shoegaze/electronica sound along the lines of M83 or Logh, but the emotion and grandeur of the entire album rivals that of the aforementioned "War on Christmas." As a cohesive work of art, this is one of the most skillfully executed albums in recent memory. From the clicks and whirs that freckle the façade of the softer ambient moments to the build-up of tension before the cathartic release, every second of this album has been meticulously crafted to remedy the mistake of the debut.
Another improvement over the predecessor is the proficiency in drumming which raises the enjoyment of the album exponentially. Ambient and electronica artists sometimes have the tendency to give their arrangements too much free reign and as a result may sound too whimsical or airy. With the fantastic drumming on The Technicolour Sleep, The American Dollar avoid this problem and keep the arrangements grounded in reality. There is a marked upbeat quality to this album that was not evident in the self-titled, and the drumming really adds to that quality. Whereas there weren’t many stand-out tracks on the debut outside of "War on Christmas," it is hard to pick a stand-out on The Technicolour Sleep only because each track brings a new element or sound to the album that is invaluable to the mood and feeling.
It is rare that I can say with a good amount of confidence that an album released this early will likely be one of my top albums of the year, but it is going to take several extraordinary albums to devalue The Technicolour Sleep. It was a shame that these guys weren’t signed to a label after the release of their debut album, but it would be an absolute tragedy if they didn’t get label attention after this magnificent creation.

Tokyo’s Mono is a peculiar group. While most bands offer up their sincerest and most genuine recordings in their infancy and spend the rest of their careers trying desperately to rediscover their youthful energy, Mono's trajectory has been quite the opposite. This flourish of hopeful creativity was captured by Steve Albini in the form of the eight pieces that make up their third album Walking Cloud And Deep Red Sky, Flag Fluttered And The Sun Shined. More lush and orchestral than previous recordings, the album couples an overall slow-melting ambience with a thunderous drive that reaches far greater heights than the band’s earlier work.

THIS WILL DESTROY YOU has catapulted quickly to the forefront of American instrumental bands in part due to their geographical lineage. 但是這些殘缺的童年影像里，總是摻雜著后天被灌輸價值觀，總是映照出現實里的忙碌壓力和疲憊。這也是Epic45在營造一種仿佛唾手可得卻又飄忽不定的疏離感時，想要表達的東西吧。但是，從專輯的名稱到歌詞，包括專輯封面，你都能感受到一種希望——內心的地圖，總會指向光亮。

Envy 是一支来自日本的乐队，新专辑与前作不同的是偏向于悲愴的感觉。歌曲虽然只有七首，但歌词与旋律充分展现出所要表达的意念。首首展现出寂静与爆轰的特色，加上主唱极具张力的撕吼与纤细温柔的嗓音，以及壮大的旋律，充分表示心中思想所散发出的情感，会让人省思自己心中深处的感受。
