Canadian black metal fundamentalists PANZERFAUST PANZERFAUST (German: Tank Fist, an anti-tank weapon) is a Canadian black metal band formed in Toronto in 2005. The band's primary subject matter examines a wide range of discomforting subjects throughout history, and these ideas are mirrored in the quartet's uniquely caustic and complex musical compositions. The Suns of Perdition I: War, Horrid War is a vicious and abrasive ride straight to the pits of inhumanity. This first chapter of the band's tetralogy examines the malign episodes of this past century, shining a light on difficult subject matter using a begrimed philosophical lens. The resulting synthesis is what George Orwell once described as [a vision of the future] “a boot stamping on a human face forever.”

These might have been a four year gap between Gehenna's offering, "WW" and their last "Murder" but the band, recently having unleashed a triumphant live show by: Larm in their native Stavanger, for which UK magazine Terrorizer described the band at the gig embracing the necro stench of true black metal primitivism is now back and stronger than ever. Gone are the death metal elements in favour of those crepuscular, black metal soundscapes that made Gehenna one of the black metal pioneers back in the early ninties - the more somber sound that shaped black metal as it is known today. 'WW' brings a chunk of the past into the future. It's primitive sound forcefully blends in perfect disharmony with the dangerous and caliginous style of the material. 当年曾与Dark Tranquillity的「The Gallery」、In Flames的「The Jester Race」、At The Gates的「Slaughter of the Soul」一同带动瑞典金属新浪潮运作，叱吒风云的哥德堡死天王之一的Dissection，成军於1989年，1990年与瑞典死金属先锋Entombed演出Dissection的处女秀，同一年发行了纪念挪威黑金属首脑乐团Mayhem主唱Dead的demo「The Grief Prophecy」，91年在法国的Corpsegrinder Records旗下发行了首张EP「Into Infinite Obscurity」，1993年在No Fashion Records发行首张完整专辑「The Somberlain」，该作品石破天惊的表现引起了德国金属大本营Nuclear Blast的青睞，1994年在其下发表了该团的传奇专辑「Storm of the Light's Bane」，凄美旋律融入在腥风血雨的黑暗肃杀氛围，在黑金属与死亡金属已开始划清界线之际还能够成功游走在两种乐派之间，完美掌握运用两大元素，Dissection实为箇中翘楚! 但在1997年Jon Nodtveidt因协助谋杀一名38岁同性恋男子而身陷囹圄，乐团运作停摆，Dissection的传奇也就此打住。

蒙特利尔黑金属乐队 SPECTRAL WOUND 演奏充满敌意的、激烈的、忧郁的黑金属。继2018年的唱片 Infernal Decadence 之后，他们在新专辑 A Diabolic Thirst 中通过凶狠的声音层次，将魁北克黑金属方法带入六首凶猛的圣歌中，血液冻结的旋律和刺耳、厚重的泛音为这张杰作带来了颓废、令人兴奋的流动感。这是加拿大黑金属的又一次凯旋，再次显示了魁北克无与伦比的黑金属场景的丰富性。此专辑不仅抓住了90年代末/00年代初名声显赫的纯正经典旋律黑金属的本质，而且可说是以成为今日之黑金大作为创作目的。
