The Nashville duo Hammock — celebrated by Pitchfork, NPR, the BBC, The Atlantic, and Ricky Gervais — returns on August 25 with Mysterium, the band’s eighth album since its founding in 2003. Composed as a memorial to Clark Kern, a son-like figure to Hammock co-founder Marc Byrd who died in 2016 from the tumor strain NF2, Mysterium merges modern classical, ambient, and choral music, and it’s of a piece with recent records by Max Richter and Jóhann Jóhannsson. The gorgeous, hour-long collection features contributions from the Berlin mix engineer Francesco Donadello (Winged Victory for the Sullen, Ólafur Arnalds), Peter Katis (The National, Jónsi, Interpol), and the Hamburg orchestrator Roman Vinuesa (“Iris,” “Umrika”), who transcribed scores for the Budapest Art Choir.

As a surprise release for Erased Tapes founder Robert Raths, label buddies Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm have collaborated for the first time ever. The pair have recorded an EP of ambient electroacoustic works called Stare. The release also features Anne Müller on cello with artwork by label-friend and in-house designer Torsten Posselt.
What started as a jam on old analogue synths at Nils’ Durton studio in Berlin, continued with a 4-day session at Óli´s E7 studio in Reykjavik. Ólafur explains, “the album became kind of an Iceland vs. Berlin thing. I think you can hear it very well in the sound (side a vs. side b) and that is the most interesting thing about this record for me: that subtle but significant different in the characteristics of the music two people made in Iceland against what the same two people made in Germany.” The project was kept secret until, “delivered the fully mastered record with finished artwork to Robert around the 5th anniversary of the label.”
‘a2’ is minimal and glacial. Like the EP artwork, it’s hazy … but precisely so.

Further confounding the frontier between electronica and post-rock, French Teen Idol weaves a fabric of intricate piano figures, impassioned sequences and intriguing samples. Meticulous harmonies and a fine sense of dynamics pervade this self-titled album.

Consumed is the fourth studio album by Canadian electronic music producer Richie Hawtin, and his third studio album under the alias Plastikman.[3] It was released in 1998 by Minus and Novamute Records.[4]
The New York Times wrote: "The thumps and the pinglike sound of searching radar create a mood in Consumed that is oceanic and hypnotic yet hardly New Age: the tension is too thick."[9]
In a retrospective article, The A.V. Club called the album "a career highlight that stripped techno to a glacial pulse and the barren sounds of a boundless alien wasteland."[10] In 2018, Pitchfork placed Consumed at number 34 on its list of the 50 best albums of 1998.[11]

这次介绍 F.D. Project 的和《Electronic Dreams 电子梦幻/梦幻》和《Blue Visions 蓝色幻影》同时发行的《Mountainway 山路》[21. July 2006 | Label:Syngate (CMS)]，其实是2004～2005年间的作品。与前两张专辑略显不同，F.D. Project 的目光似乎从天际星空返回了山川河谷：“Space-Music...The Return”。
Frank Dorittke 这样形容第2轨《Alone In The Dark 孑然幽处》：“me and my guitar”，不知是否就是说他创作时的情形呢？请特别注意第4轨《28 Years Later ... Coldwater Canyon 28年后...寒冷的溪谷》，这是 Frank Dorittke 向 Tangerine Dream 橘梦乐队 致敬的曲目。第6轨《Last Days 最后审判日》据称是梦中的想见；第8、10轨的曲目来自他的2004年德国演出现场录音。比较有趣的是好像每年都会有一首《Galaxy...》的曲目出现，而且会在专辑中占据较大的比重。不得而知的是信手拈来的一轨《Bhind The Light 宾德之光》（注：Bhind 宾德区，属于印度中央邦），似有些许出人意表之外～难道是游历印度后有感而作？
