Accompanimentt to the cassette album of Lerosa’s fourth full-length, Catena, this heavyweight 12” features two originals from the album and two remixes from familiar faces: childhood friend Donato Dozzy and long-time fellow traveller Jordan GCZ (of Juju & Jordash). Album closer ‘Suite De Paris’ places pitch-bent liquid acid over a huge skanking bassline, the perfect material for Dozzy to make hay with his simmering techno take. Meanwhile, album opener ‘Apollo’ churns with industrial fervour, before Jordan GCZ reduces it down to its acid techno essence, leaving little space for us to catch our breath.

Lerosa’s fourth full-length, Catena, is also his second for Berlin-via-LA label Acid Test. It sees the Dublin-based producer once again draw deeply on his diverse influences – dub, industrial, electro, trance, funk, IDM – and transform them into a sound signature that has always been uniquely his own.
This alchemy is no accident. Rather it is driven by Lerosa’s ongoing pursuit of the fundamental meaning of dance music: to immerse ourselves in sound to the point where our only desire is to move and feel in the moment. Hence how, on Catena, the slow and sensual sway of a cavernous bit of dub can sit side-by-side with hands-up trance-like ecstasy, and all still sound like Lerosa.
This achievement is the result of a dedicated daily studio practice. Each track starts from a dynamic studio jam in which Lerosa plays drum machines and synthesisers live and then overdubs them with further modulated layers. He uses looping techniques to build up the density of certain instruments while mixing the layers on-the-fly, using something as unassuming as an iPad. This imbues each track with a spontaneous shifting quality that defines the entire album.
What comes through is a sound that speaks of Lerosa’s love for the studio, for the tangible substance of an audio frequency... – analogue and digital, raw and processed, pure and saturated – and the intangible, indeed bewitching mystery of how these frequencies can transport us to other places.

AAAA real name Gabo Barranco is a Mexico City based electronic music producer and crew member of the rave event series EXT. His most recent releases include an EP on Omnidisc records, and a collaborative LP with Tin Man under their joint project named DOVS, released on Acid Test.
Runts is a collection of tracks written between 2018 and 2020. Running length at nearly an hour, exploring the possibilities and boundaries of acid, with shape shifting styles that travel from euphoria to the dysphoric.
The releases called Runts because the tracks were presumably not meant to survive, yet have persevered in the mind of AAAA, are a personal and uncompromised expedition. The collection was produced over time, sometimes seemingly unrelated but built from the same foundation. Taking meandering trips influenced by moods of the moment, the overall collection captures the expansive multiplicity not only in AAAAs style - as can be seen in other productions - but also in his identity, a constant shifting around a malleable center. The songs, though different in mood and tone, are all produced using the same analog machines. By eschewing digital manipulations or complex edits, they are unified by the basic tools with which they are produced.
Runts is a reflection of the producer’s own idiosyncratic methods, a diary through its music.

Originally released in October 1999, the debut release by Lali Puna garnered rave reviews from the press and industry luminaries, such as Radiohead. Tridecoder features 9 tracks of some of the finest electronic pop and set the foundation for the band that would go on to record two more albums. Led on vocals by Valerie Trebeljahr, the rest of the band consists of members of The Notwist, Tied &Tickled Trio and Console.

Blue Hawaii has spent over a decade perfecting their craft. The two met in 2009, at the heart of Montreal's burgeoning underground party scene. Finding their start with lo-fi bedroom recordings, they gradually evolved towards a more uplifting and dance forward sound. The essence of their work is threaded through the confident sanguine vocals and songwriting of Raphaelle “Ra” Standell-Preston, and the distinctive production of Agor "DJ Kirby". They uniquely assemble every aspect of their music together amidst an ocean of separation, with Agor in Berlin, and Ra in Montreal.
‘My Bestfriend's House' continues the joy of good feelings and togetherness that began with 'Under 1 House'. Themes of love and empathy are backed by chugging drums and hypnotic grooves, to enjoy on dance floors and in headphones worldwide. The EP’s first single – “L.O.V.E.” – is a disco-house, free-formed sizzler. Ra’s vocals are silky and powerful on top of a cheeky pulsing disco beat peppered with guitar and sax.
Reunited in August 2021, Agor and Ra wanted to finish the recording of a darker, downtempo full-length they had started in September of 2020. However, given the energy coming out of lockdown and the coincidental finding of an abandoned Yamaha DX27 synth, the... pair decided to put that introspective work on hold and instead whip out a good-vibed follow-up to their last release “Under 1 House”. The duo headed to a cabin north of Montreal but unfortunately had to return the same night during the year's worst rainstorm. The place was in a state of abandon, water running black, a back window smashed in, and an eerie haunted feeling that scared the band into fleeing. This continued to the point of believing a car was following them, their speed increasing to lose what they thought to be a ‘cabin highway chase’. In effect, the first week of their recording retreat was a disaster and, with both members disturbed and confused, the ensuing four songs came from a rapid-fire series of recording sessions in just over a week's time. Perhaps it is this condensed time frame that has made this collection of tracks so specifically electric. For the first time, they collaborated with the radiant songwriter and keyboardist Edwin de Goeij on the tracks “My Bestfriend’s House” and “Danced Into My Life”, who was also the coincidental finder of the illustrious synth. Longtime contributor, the saxophonist Adam Kinner, also graced the recording with his inspired playing on the track “L.O.V.E”.

Labrinth makes a dramatic debut in television score with the HBO original series Euphoria. The score was preceded by “All for Us,” a single by the series' main star Zendaya as well as Labrinth, which was featured in the finale episode of the first season.
