Two dubstep veterans unite, Nomine & Youngsta join forces for Sentry Records latest release. ‘Ascension’ is a collection of different styles & energies spanning 140bpm. From the Dub influences of ‘Courage’ & ‘Foundations’, the meditative soundscapes on ‘So Within’ featuring Anima and ‘Hidden’ featuring Lelijveld through to the darker dance floor leaning sounds of ‘Journey’. The LP showcases the pairs versatility & spectrum of influences. Featuring an array of new & returning talents including Breezy Lee, Zameen-A & Lelijveld.

Horizon Diver is the ambient project of Steven Parry, a composer, producer, and DJ from Switzerland. Although this is his debut ambient release, Steven creates music for film and for numerous other music projects ranging from jazz and soul, to synthwave and 80s pop.
Steven contacted me with the first track on this EP almost 2 years ago and I am pleased to finally present this work of glistening ambient with a touch of cinematic post-rock elements.

During the pandemic, we would just get in a car and drive around the old East and find all these ruined buildings and walk through them. It’s this mix of nostalgia for the past, coupled with a melancholy for the lengths that we would go to to feel anything at all." - Ed Kenny

Nascent is about becoming:
The desire to become a better human being, longing to actively participate in the world around you, striving to actualize your potential, and finding meaning in this process. Over the past 4 years, these have all been things I've struggled to bring to fruition due to my own shortcomings. Nascent is the embodiment of all the emotions which emerged from this struggle.
Writing this album eventually became a source of this conflict. As I created the music which was supposed to help me find peace, I watched the rest of my life begin to atrophy. In many ways, Nascent is also about the writing process and its consequences. Despite this, I would like to believe I've come out the other end having grown because of it.
I am changing. I am learning to be willing, learning to take the shackles off. Who I am and who I want to be are starting to feel like the same person. It's been an insane journey and I am so grateful for it. Thank you everyone for your enduring support and patience. I hope this music finds a place in your life.

Celestial soul as a break from chaos, these are quietly challenging songs as timeless as they are contemporary.
“What a rare and cool challenge it was for me to help Eddie re-emerge after a long hiatus,” says John Carroll Kirby. “I was excited to produce a record for him that captured the chill, laid-back wisdom and easy vocal mastery he has that you don’t see that much these days.”
Lead single “My Mind Is Out of Its Mind” finds a deep groove to try and contain spiraling heartbreak, while the sweet and fizzy “Trouble” balances the downcast “Hurt” and more tender “Papa.” But even the project’s lightest moments feel sincere and mature. The latest member of our family, 18 year old Scottish producer and composer Sam Gellaitry takes you on a journey through uptempo house, deep bass vibes, hip hop and soul in his first official EP release, 'Short Stories' – redefining the way we traditionally listen to "electronic music."

Nightclubbing is the fifth studio album by Jamaican singer Grace Jones, released on 11 May 1981 by Island Records. Recorded at Compass Point Studios with producers Alex Sadkin and Island Records' president Chris Blackwell, as well as a team of session musicians rooted by rhythm section Sly & Robbie, the album marked her second foray into a new wave style that blends a variety of genres, including reggae, art pop, dub, synth-pop and funk. The album comprises a mixture of cover versions from artists including Bill Withers, Iggy Pop and Astor Piazzolla, and original songs, three of which were co-written by Jones.
The album received positive reviews upon its release, including being voted best album of the year by writers of the UK music magazine NME, and continues to be praised by critics, with reviewers commending the singer's unique sound and organic fusion of genres. The album entered in the top 10 in five countries, and became Jones' highest-ranking record on the US Billboard mainstream albums and R&B charts. Six singles were released from the album, including the hits "Pull Up to the Bumper" and "I've Seen That Face Before (Libertango)".
Critics and scholars have noted the album's influence on popular music, especially how its unique sound has been emulated by both pop and alternative acts, and how the persona Jones adopted – deeply influenced by art and fashion – has had an enduring influence in modern female pop singers. Around the time of the album's release, she adopted her characteristic androgynous look which would become popular in fashion. Nightclubbing is now widely considered Jones' best studio album[1] and the record that cemented her pop icon status.
