Plastic Beach, 卡通乐队Gorillaz的第三张录音室专辑将于2010年3月8日(3月9日美国) 正式发行。
关于专辑名字的由来：(by Nabixi) 灵感来自于Damon德文郡房子旁边的海滩，沙子里各式各样的塑料垃圾。。还有人们是如何处理这些垃圾的。西方人已经开始学习非洲处理塑料垃圾的方法，就是在垃圾场创造出个野生环境，让各色动物去生活在塑料垃圾里....我们总认为塑料是反自然的，但塑料来源于大自然.....看到蛇很喜欢住在温暖的可降解塑料袋里，这带给他一种奇特的乐观感。
Plastic Beach为一个岛的名字，这个岛是浮动的，岛的样子可以参考专辑封面以及官方网站(
)的视频更新。 目前已知来看，这是Gorillaz成员们的新家。而Murdoc在岛上所设的私家电台也将于近日开通。
新专辑中合作艺人无论是数量还是影响力都达到了前所未有的高度。从Lou Reed 到Snoop Dogg,从Mark E Smith 到 Paul Simonon... 而这更是著名朋克鼻祖乐队The Clash的两位核心成员Mick Jones和Paul Simonon多年以后的再度合作，两人将联手演绎专辑同名曲Plastic Beach。同时更值得一提的Superfast Jellyfish这首歌，请到了著名Britpop乐队Super Furry Animals的主唱Gruff Rhys和美国说唱团体De La Soul进行合作，风格的差异必将带来火花。
据Damon在卫报Paul Morley的采访中称，这张专辑是他做过最为流行的一张专辑。而BBC Radio 1的DJ Zane Lowe更是以phenomenal和one of the best modern pop records来形容这张专辑。

Le voyage dans la lune (English: A Trip to the Moon) is the sixth studio album by French electronic music duo Air, released on 6 February 2012 by Virgin Records.

The album is inspired by the 1902 silent science fiction film A Trip to the Moon (Le voyage dans la lune) by Georges Méliès and is intended to be a soundtrack to the restored version of the film. A free three-minute film excerpt featuring the song "Sonic Armada" was made available for one week in early December 2011 in conjunction with a pre-order offer. A limited edition of the album (70,000 copies worldwide) includes the CD and a DVD of the film. The digital version of the album, along with the newly restored and colourised 16-minute film, was released as a strictly limited edition.

If you have listened to any of the recent mixes on Test Pressing you may have heard this one making an appearance and its finally coming out, after a bit of a wait, on the 6th of October. The record was discovered, so the story goes, by Alex Barck from Jazzanova and A&R for the Derwin label who are releasing the record. The original came out in 1987 on the Quintus Project album ‘Moments’ which was limited to 300 copies. Alex took the track, edited it down, took the slack out, and off it went. You might have heard that version so here’s a quick excerpt of the remixes.
First up Psychemagik. Love these guys. They are not shy to go out there and they do on this one adding a vocoder and some strings to take it to er the bridge. Look out for their album coming towards the end of the year on Ambassadors Reception Records.
Next up is friend of our operation Lexx. Lexx is not a shouter but his music (and his mixes) will stand the test of time purely because he keeps it to the point. With his understated ways this one hits high on the quality meter. Can someone in major label land give him a song to run with please.
Put simply, buy this. It’s a good one.

要不是看到Simian Mobile Disco的出现，我也记不起当年Source厂牌旗下曾有过Simian这队英伦曼彻斯特独立结他乐团，而且当年我也蛮喜欢他们。
Simian Mobile Disco这队电子舞曲製作单位，便是两位Simian的成员James Ellis Ford和Jas Anthony Shaw所另组成。
其实当Simian尚健在的时候，James和Jas已用上Simian Mobile Disco之名义举行DJing演出。直至Simian解体后，二人才全面投向SMD的发展。况且别忘记从前Simian的新迷幻之音也有若干的电气成分，甚至在乐团的第二张专辑We Are Your Friends里，更沉淀著师承自The Neptunes的影响，已来得儼如一支Indie-Dance乐队。
从Simian进化到Simian Mobile Disco，纵使两者的名字仍是同出一彻，但两者的音乐其实已大相逕庭，没有多大关连，毕竟SMD是开宗明义的走电子舞曲路线，打造出House/ Electro / Techno / Disco / Acid的折衷电音混合物。然而，由於过去SMD曾为Klaxons、Muse、The Go! Team製作过Remix，而James又曾为Mystery Jets、Klaxons和Arctic Monkeys操刀唱片监製，致使SMD在Indie界仍有相当的地位。
Attack Decay Sustain Release是SMD的首张专辑，除了一眾舞池Anthem曲目如Electro-House之作Hustler、非常Acidic的Tits & Acid、科幻奇丽的Techno乐章Wooden之外，他们也打造了不少歌曲作品。
像得到The Go! Team的女Rapper成员为Ninja客串的It’s The Beat，便来得有如Old Skool Electro Rap曲目，I Got This Down更是直截了当的跳脱Electro Hip Hop。Song-Based起来的时候，由前Simain队友Simon Lord主唱的I Believe以及由Barry Dobbin演绎的未来派Disco-Funk歌曲Love，这两首歌曲正是SMD最称得上是Indie-Dance声音的时候。
反而有点意料之外，是碟末他们竟以一首意境美丽而神秘的Ambient电子乐章Scott，作为Attack Decay Sustain Release的结幕曲。
SMD的音乐，谈不上有何石破天惊之处，一切只算是恰到好处而已。

ATTACK DECAY SUSTAIN RELEASE is the debut album from SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO.
The electronic duo is comprised of James Ford and Jas Shaw formally of experimental indie band Simian. The two took to playing DJ sets after Simian gigs and thus the "mobile disco" took on a life all its own. Coming into the spotlight with the ubiquitous dance-floor remix of Justice vs Simian's "We Are Your Friends" SMD found themselves embraced by dance music fans who were looking for more. When crafting original compositions in earnest, James and Jas purposefully chose to exclusively use analog equipment giving their arrangements a distinct, human quality. Those who lent their voice to SMD include Go! Team frontwoman, Ninja and one time Simian band-mate, Simon Lord.
