Lil Fly (real name Gary Hudson) is a hip-hop/rap artist from the Fillmore district of San Francisco, California. His debut EP, “Bonafide Playa” was released in 1995 by Rag Top Records and was produced by Al Eaton (One Little Indian Studio), The Enhancer (Bayview Productions), T.C. & Regi-Reg (Premiere Productions). It features appearances by Rappin 4-Tay, The Banksta and Franky J. The album art was done by Phunky Phat Graph-X.

Rappin’ Ron & Ant Diddley Dog was a hip-hop/rap duo from the Eastside of Oakland, California. Their debut album, “Bad N-Fluenz” was released in 1995 by Cell Block Records and was produced by Ant Banks, G.O. Twice, B. Branch, Mike and Sonny. The album art was designed by Dawg Eat Dawg Designz.

One of the best G-Funk albums released out of the California. Members include D-Shoot, GF, Bias, and SOS representing different parts of the Bay Area (Oakland, East Palo Alto, Stockton). If you like that old school Westcoast sound with smooth vocals then this is a must have for your collection.

The Twinz are a hip hop duo from Long Beach, California, consisting of twin brothers Deon “Trip Locc” Williams and Dewayne “Wayniac” Williams. After working with Warren G on his debut album Regulate…G Funk Era, the Twinz released their own debut album Conversation. The album was released on August 22, 1995 through Def Jam Recordings and was almost entirely produced by Warren G. Two charting singles were released from the album, “Round & Round” and “Eastside LB”.

The West Coast collective formed in 2003 and since releasing their first album lost one of their original members Sinister Six, but pushed on with their highly sought after mixtape series Street Cinema, which Babygrande also eventually put out in a "Best Of" release. Recently picked up as one of Rawkus' Top 50 (hope you've been keeping track) in unsigned talent, the honor couldn't have come at a better time as Original Dynasty puts Element, Bluff, Scoobs and Aneek back in the spotlight.

The meeting of two West Coast rappers fuelled this talented Canadian band. In 1996, Mad Child was a solo artist performing in San Francisco when he returned to his hometown of Vancouver. There he met Prevail, who was gaining attention for his energetic live shows and abilities. The two joined forces and headed to San Diego to perform at the annual B-Boy Summit. The group was initiated into the Rock Steady Crew, one of only three bands to do so. Following this, the group released three independent singles before releasing Balance, their debut effort in 1999 on Battle Axe Records. A world tour and hundreds of performances followed. In 2001, the band released its second album, Bad Dreams. The same year they received a Juno Award for Best Rap Recording for Balance. In 2002, the band performed with Nelly Furtado and won a second Juno Award for Best Rap Recording. Monsters in the Closet followed in 2003, and Heavy appeared in 2004. Their music has been featured on soundtracks, computer games, and other outlets. Theyve also worked with members of the Beat Junkies and Jurassic 5, among others.
