architect is a hybrid of minimalistic drum'n bass and smooth ambient soundscapes explored by the electronic mastermind daniel meyer.
like a architect who built up his constructions in different layers and channels, also daniel is working with this method by using only sampling tools. he's constructing abstract sonic buildings which seems to be peculiar transparent - like concrete frames without any surfaces in a pleasant familiarity. the cold polyrhythmic drumcodes are bet into a melted ambience of safety and grace. it's the warm timbre of this ambient drum'n bass recording which creates it's own unique sonic profile.
each track on this album was recorded separately in very concentrated periods of creativity and collected since the last 3 years. architect's galactic supermarket is surly a perfect soundtrack for observing the space during the night...
daniel meyer's musical activities begun about 7 years ago with the electro-industrial project haujobb. since the last years daniel became addicted to drum 'n bass, which opened him new views of sonic expressions. this unavoidable important influence allowed him to extend his perception of electronic music to create new dimensions.
daniel started several new projects to present his different faces. together with dejan samardcic he's very active with the project dot's and dashes (on funktion & form, rtd) and haujobb. the project cleen is a collaboration with thorsten meier, n.e.w.t (on flatline records) is created with andreas meyer (forma tadre) and the other projects architect, mayr, s'apex are soloprojects of daniel. although there is always a unique common point of all his projects, each of them explores it's own imaginary universe in it's strongest way.

Originally released in October 1999, the debut release by Lali Puna garnered rave reviews from the press and industry luminaries, such as Radiohead. Tridecoder features 9 tracks of some of the finest electronic pop and set the foundation for the band that would go on to record two more albums. Led on vocals by Valerie Trebeljahr, the rest of the band consists of members of The Notwist, Tied &Tickled Trio and Console.

Nascent is about becoming:
The desire to become a better human being, longing to actively participate in the world around you, striving to actualize your potential, and finding meaning in this process. Over the past 4 years, these have all been things I've struggled to bring to fruition due to my own shortcomings. Nascent is the embodiment of all the emotions which emerged from this struggle.
Writing this album eventually became a source of this conflict. As I created the music which was supposed to help me find peace, I watched the rest of my life begin to atrophy. In many ways, Nascent is also about the writing process and its consequences. Despite this, I would like to believe I've come out the other end having grown because of it.
I am changing. I am learning to be willing, learning to take the shackles off. Who I am and who I want to be are starting to feel like the same person. It's been an insane journey and I am so grateful for it. Thank you everyone for your enduring support and patience. I hope this music finds a place in your life.

製作人左瑋現居多倫多，是電子二人組 Wanderlust 的成員 ，WISEFAKE 是他 2016 年開啓的個人項目，由左瑋負責音樂部分，設計師Alice He負責概念與平面藝術部分。相比起 Wanderlust 的歌曲屬性，WISEFAKE 更多以電子音樂的思維嘗試新設備和新想法。
在连续发行两张 Synthpop 专辑后，WISFAKE逐渐抵触起「旋律」。他重新思考起「声音」与「音乐」的关系，最终以「声音即音乐」为基调，制作了两张全长专辑，《strati》便是第一张。其中所有收声、效果与缩混均使用硬件完成，只用 DAW 完成剪辑、叠轨与导出，近乎摒弃软件，旨在将「声音」元素最大化，并模糊手动演奏与生成音乐的边界。
WISEFAKE is the project by Victor Zuo (sound) & Alice He (arts) based in Toronto, running since 2016. Zuo is member of Chinese synthpop duo Wanderlust which is formed in 2009. Compared with Wanderlust, wisefake is more likely an experiment in the mindset of electronic sound producing and equipment exploring.
After released 2 synthpop albums in a row, Zuo started wearying 'Melody'. He reconsidered the relations between 'sound' and 'music', eventually come to the conclusion that 'sound is music', and produced two full-length albums based on it, <strati> is the first one. All of the recording, effects and mixing are done by hardware, only uses DAW for editing, overlaying and exporting, almost abandoning software, aiming to maximize the 'sound' element and blur the boundary between manual performance and generated music.

rRoxymore's long-anticipated debut album, Face To Phase, was born of her annual creative hibernation practice. Whereas her previous appearances for Don't Be Afraid - Thoughts Of An Introvert, Parts 1 & 2 - revealed inner worlds of saturated colour and natural expressiveness, she retreated into her studio at the turn of winter 2018 occupied with the idea of dismantling the dancefloor-centric pressure paradigm.
The resulting album, Face to Phase, finds rRoxymore methodically and mindfully stripping back to fundamentals: rumbling minimalist dub, sparse polymetric drums, boldy unpredictable melodic narratives and subtleties which hover out-of-reach or disappear into vapour. Forged by the spirit of club music cultures, Face To Phase favours deep listening; resisting the temptation to reflect on the past or project towards the future, it's an album that is firmly rooted in the contemporary.
Sparked by her own archive of field recordings, and produced primarily but not exclusively in the box, Face To Phase adds several facets to rRoxymore's already wide repertoire. The pensive and beatless opener "Home Is Where The Music Is" was inspired by her longtime friend Planningtorock, while "Forward Flamingo" is a spiraling dream-state of house music dissociation; elsewhere "Energy Points" remains anchored to the ocean floor, radiating heavy dub waves, "Passages" is a ghoulish skeleton of UK break beats, "What's The Plan" closes the album in a blissfully blunted fashion, while twisting, shape-shifting rhythms push and pulse "PPS21" into series of ever-evolving shapes and forms.
Through and in between the eight songs of Face To Phase, rRoxymore fortifies her status as a seasoned artist, grounded by over a decade of live performance and touring, collaboration, composition and experimentation. With a new live performance collaboration with a percussionist set to debut the LP at Atonal on 1st September, rRoxymore is primed to expand her reputation even further as one of the most vital and distinctive artists on the fringes of contemporary club culture.

Angus Finlayson’s first LP is shot through with concussive kicks, writhing basslines, and finely tooled drum work. But even at their most powerful, these songs are remarkably nimble.

ITS NARRATIVE IS INSPIRED BY CINEMATIC VISUAL TECHNIQUES AND STATIC IMAGES PORTRAYING SCIENTIFIC EVENTS WHICH ALSO INSPIRED THE TITLES OF THE NINE COMPOSITIONS.
THE MUSIC POSSESSES A DILATED RHYTHMIC BASE CONTRIBUTING TO THE IMAGES OF GRAVITY AND SPATIALITY. AT POINTS STATIC IS USED WITH AN ORNATE, DELICATE INTRICACY. THE ALBUM’S SONIC SPECTRUM BUILDS WITH DEEP SUB-BASS, GLOOMY SONICS, SPACIOUS SOUND DESIGN, AND INORGANIC AMBIANCE THAT IS GENTLY COERCED WITH ARTISTIC FINESSE.
THE NINE COMPOSITIONS ARE ACCOMPANIED BY GRAPHIC NOTATIONS INFORMED BY THE ALBUM’S SONIC AND ACOUSTIC CODES.
