ハンバートハンバート5枚目のアルバム。70年代フォーク、カントリー＆ウエスタン、アイリッシュミュージックなどを融合して、なおかつ昔どこかで聞いたような懐かしさを憶えるメロディ。よくよく聞くとやたら泣ける切ない歌詞。凛とした遊穂ちゃんのボーカル。ぶっきらぼうな良成のコーラス。心に沁みます。
最後の曲「長いこと待っていたんだ」は彼らの現在形。まさに夢は始まったばかり。マイペースな彼ら、プロモーションもろくにされてないみたいだけど、こんな歌を求めている人はもっともっと沢山いるはず。１人でも多くの人にこの歌を聴いて欲しいと思います。

HIDEAWAY is the result of their year-long struggle to get tapped in again. Patrick Ball's holiday recording, The Christmas Rose, is a celebration of Christmas, with Celtic style and tradition. This assortment of favorite seasonal classics performed on the wire-strung Celtic harp reverberates with a crystalline, bell-like sound that recalls the crisp beauty of newly fallen snow glistening on a Christmas morning.

Ball performs his own festive arrangements on Celtic harp, occasionally joined by Irish penny whistles and the Irish uilleann bagpipes. The selections include God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, The First Noel, and Auld Lang Syne. His delicate, deeply resonant renditions of What Child Is This? and Silent Night call forth the blessed stillness of that first Christmas eve, while his performances of less familiar carols like the fourteenth century French tune, Bring a Torch, Jeanette Isabella and the German canon, Give Us Peace, add to the sense of freshness and discovery in this sixteen piece collection.

"The story of Christmas is one of joy and hope," says Ball, "Joy that a Savior is born, and hope that His coming will bring us peace. It seems fitting then, that the Celtic harp should play the music of Christmas, for this legendary, brass-strung instrument has brought joy and hope to the Irish people for over a thousand years."

The compilation was brought together by actors Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols, known for their roles on the hit show One Tree Hill, aft er they'd traveled with the Global Green organization to Grand Isle, Louisiana and seen the damage caused by the spill.
Rice's track starts off gently and acoustically but gradually swells to include lush strings, horns and massed backing vocals that join him on the song's keening melody for an dramatic finale.

The story of the album: the Jeppesen's and Morello's are some of our closest friends in existence, so it's funny and a little sad that it took us three years until we sat down to really play music together. More sad because I had to leave Brooklyn a year later. This record was recorded in back to back sessions with roughly an hour given per song to record. Most of the final takes are the first takes. This was my quickest album to record, but took the longest to release .

The Village is a collection of rearranged Zimbabwean traditional songs blended with a cool Nordic edge. What the band prize about Zimbabwean music is its inherent openness, a quality that shares much with that fresh airy feel inherent in the Scandinavian jazz sound.
Monoswezi is a collective of musicians originally from Mozambique, Norway, Sweden and Zimbabwe. With a common passion for traditional African music in general, and music from Zimbabwe and Mozambique in particular, Monoswezi seeks a musical expression, where respect for tradition is combined with different references and experiences from jazz and modern Western music. In addition to traditional music, Monoswezi performs music composed by the band members, with a strong improvisational approach.

Priscilla Ahn is an American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She released her single "Dream" from her debut album, A Good Day, produced by Joey Waronker for EMI's Blue Note Records, in 2008

Kina started playing shows at the age of 4 in front of her stuffed animals. Now she plays in front of people. In 2007, Kina joined YouTube, made a music video and entered herself into contest. A few months later, her video for “Message From Your Heart” aired during the Superbowl and its 97 million viewers (or 194 million eyeballs, depending on how you’re keeping track) and she walked away with a record deal. Since then, Kina has regularly posted her songs on YouTube, amassing many millions of views, and toured throughout North America. Her songs have been heard on television shows such as ABC’s General Hospital and MTV’s College Life. Kina will independently release her debut full-length album, Stairwells, in 2010. Her music is both sweet and melancholy, but always filled with hope. She’d want you to know that she saves drowning honeybees from pools whenever she gets the chance.
