Marvel's upcoming sci-fi movie bringing a whole new meaning to "Space Jam."
Keeping the hype machine rolling for Marvel's upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy flick, writer/director James Gunn gave fans a little peek at the songs included on the movie's uniquely retro soundtrack. Posting on Facebook Tuesday, Gunn first released the image (shown) that will grace the cover of the official soundtrack before later announcing the official track list.
Fans that have watched the Guardians of the Galaxy trailers already know that one of Peter Quill's (Chris Pratt) most cherished items is his old school Sony Walkman and a mix tape of songs he made before being taken into space as a child. According to Gunn, the track list for the soundtrack includes:

When asked about the songs included in the movie and the soundtrack, Gunn stated, "Marvel was kind enough to shell out for every single song I requested." Also, he let fans know that the songs which made it onto the soundtrack aren't all the songs he used during filming, writing:
"NOTE this is not the entirety of the Mixed Tape that Peter Quill listens to, the one that I gave to Chris Pratt that he listened to endlessly before the movie started. That is a longer list, that includes these songs, among others. I'll release that full list closer to the release of them film."
Guardians of the Galaxy hits theaters nationwide on Friday, August 1st. The official soundtrack is scheduled to release earlier that week on Tuesday, July 29th

After premiering at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, Kenneth Lonergan’s acclaimed new film Manchester by the Sea is finally opening in US theaters. Fresh off her invitation to join the Motion Picture Academy, Ms. Barber delivers, what most will consider, her best work to date. Beautifully harmonized vocal performances, recurring at key intervals, represent only one of the many memorable moments of her achievement. A much-deserved Academy Award Nomination for this sumptuous score would come as a surprise to no one.

但是，他又碰上紫霞，此时他已经知道自己的大圣身份了，但却苦苦拒绝，不愿意接受和承认；对晶晶的感情和对紫霞的感情冲突起来，他在理智上欺骗所有的人，包括他自己，一心想要回去实现对晶晶的感情，却只是莫名其妙地找到了五百年前的白晶晶，并且实现了他的承诺。但是爱情被证明无法欺骗，他欺骗了所有人，却欺骗不了爱情。
当至尊宝终于恢复大圣身份归来，显示出他的所有我们熟悉的神奇本领，和我们分享痛揍牛魔王的快感，让人痛惜的是他所放弃的人的一切，紫霞的身体在空中退去，而大圣头上的金刚箍在收紧的时候，最痛的不是头，是心。
“曾几何时，有一份真挚的感情摆在我面前，但是我没有珍惜，等到失去的时候……”，至尊宝说了两遍。当他毫无诚意地对紫霞说出来的时候，感情是十分地投入和专注的，让人感动又空虚；最后大圣附体于夕阳武士身上去亲吻城头的姑娘尽情倾泻，这时候这一句“我爱你”听来痛彻心肺。　　　　虽然时间太短，大圣也算是真正爱了一次了。
就在这时，卢冠廷的音乐响起，歌声伴着风掠过沙漠……
面对世事沧桑时空交错的时候，孙悟空和我们一样的没有力量。
有人说这部电影就是纯情电影，是给那些年轻人看的，而他早就过了这样的年纪。我反倒觉得越上年纪的人才越知道青春与回忆的珍贵，虽然生命里没有这么多的刻骨铭心。

The Dead Poets Society soundtrack marked the three-time Academy Award-winner Maurice Jarre's (composer) fourth collaboration with director Peter Weir. The two collaborated on Weir's 'The Mosquito Coast' (1987) as well as 'Witness' (1985) for which he earned an Oscar nomination and a British Academy Award and 'The Year of Living Dangerously' (1983) for which he received the Sydney Critics Award. Jarre took home Oscars for David Lean's 'Lawerence of Arabia' (1962), 'Doctor Zhivago' (1965) and 'Passage to India' (1984). For the Dead Poets Society, Maurice Jarre was faced with perhaps the most difficult challenge... He had to write the final dialogue with his music, to draw together the feelings of those students who stood up for their teacher (Robin Williams). What he came up with was a kind of anthem, a piece of music which not only summarized the feelings in that classroom, but also touched that deep yearning for truth and justice within us all. This soundtrack also features a track from the Witness soundtrack, 'Building the Barn' and four tracks from the 'Year of Living Dangerously' soundtrack. Warner. 2005.

Deutsche Grammophon is excited to announce the November release of Arrival (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) with music composed and produced by Johann Johannsson.
The Paramount Pictures film Arrival, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, is the composers third cinematic collaboration with French-Canadian director Denis Villeneuve, following on from last years crime thriller Sicario, which garnered Johannsson an Oscar nomination for best original score. As recently announced, their next joint project will be the much anticipated sequel to the legendary science fiction film Blade Runner.
Arrival stars Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker, Adams playing the lead role of a linguist who attempts to communicate with the alien intelligence controlling a fleet of spacecraft that has suddenly and ominously appeared at sites all around the globe. As mankind teeters on the brink of global war, she and her team embark on a race against time to find out why these craft have come to earth. More than a conventional sci-fi thriller, this is a thoughtful, intellectual drama with a genre twist.
Arrival is a very unique science fiction film and I decided early on that the human voice would feature prominently in the score, says Johannsson. It seemed a natural choice, given that the story is very much about language and communication.
Johannsson worked with several singers and vocal ensembles and combined both classical and avant-garde elements in his compositions, augmenting his already unique approach of combining orchestral writing with digital sound processing. Among those appearing are the prestigious Theatre of Voices, conducted by Paul Hillier, and artists such as Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe and Hildur Guonadottir, known for their unique musicianship. Johannsson also integrated some found sounds from the legendary avant-garde vocalist Joan La Barbara into his score. The soundtrack was recorded in Prague, Copenhagen and his native Reykjavik.

Today marks the release of the soundtrack to Boyhood—a film written, directed, and co-produced by Richard Linklater—on Nonesuch Records; the movie, which is being distributed by IFC Films, opens this Friday, July 11, in the UK, New York, and Los Angeles before going wider across the US beginning next week. Shot over 12 years with the same cast, Boyhood is a groundbreaking story of growing up as seen through the eyes of a child named Mason (a breakthrough performance by Ellar Coltrane), who literally grows up on screen before the viewers’ eyes.
The New York Times film critic A.O. Scott calls Boyhood "one of the most extraordinary movies of 2014, or for that matter the 21st century so far." Film critic David Edelstein, in a review for CBS Sunday Morning, says: "Boyhood makes each moment momentous."
The film’s soundtrack spans the story’s 12 years, with songs ranging from the year 2000 (Coldplay’s “Yellow” and The Hives’ “Hate to Say I Told You So”) to 2013 (Yo La Tengo’s “I’ll Be Around”). The album also includes the classic “Band on the Run,” by Paul McCartney and Wings (from the 2010 re-mastered album of the same name) and the debut of a new song written by Jeff Tweedy and performed by the father/son duo Tweedy—“Summer Noon.” The Boyhood soundtrack album was produced by Richard Linklater and Randall Poster.

Starring Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette as Mason’s parents and newcomer Lorelei Linklater as his sister Samantha, Boyhood charts the rocky terrain of childhood like no other film has before. Snapshots of adolescence from road trips and family dinners to birthdays and graduations and all the moments in between become transcendent. Boyhood is both a nostalgic time capsule of the recent past and an ode to growing up and parenting. Cathleen Sutherland produced the film with Linklater.

Linklater also serves as the Artistic Director for the Austin Film Society, which he founded in 1985 to showcase films from around the world that were not typically shown in Austin. Now one of the nation’s top film organizations, The Austin Film Society shows more than 200 films a year, has educational programs, and has given out more than $1,500,000 in grants to Texas filmmakers since 1996.
