A man is Skyping to the other side of the world. He discovers a firefly and shows it to his partner.

'Empire' was the trailer for the Viennale 2010 and screened in over one hundred cinemas in Austria and during the festival in Vienna.

A documentation of Nabua altered into a field of lightning. The film, in the manner of an old sci-fi or horror movie, shows a set of mini-explosions creating a synchronised series of bolts of lightning like a downpour of bullets from the sky. The flashes of light reveal the surroundings, then the ground with smoke, dust, and silence.

A few years ago I visited a temple near my home and a monk there gave me a little book called “A Man Who Can Recall His Past Lives.” In it, the monk wrote about Boonmee, who could recall his multiple lives in the cities of the northeast. In 2008, I wrote a screenplay inspired by the reincarnation of Boonmee, and started to travel in the region in search of his surviving offspring and relatives. I met his two sons who provided accounts of their father.
In Nabua in December 2008, I located several houses that I thought would be suitable as Uncle Boonmee’s house in the proposed feature film. This short film is a personal letter describing my Nabua to Uncle Boonmee.
The film is comprised of shots of the houses’ interiors in the evening. They are all deserted except one house with a group of young soldiers, played by some teens of Nabua. Two of them impersonate me by narrating the film.

The teens are together in the village street and start to run, some of them kicking the smoking balls and throwing them into the moving crowd. The video is a celebration of exaltation and the release of tension, echoing Thailand’s political atmosphere.

在《俳句》中，阿彼察邦记录了在纳布亚进行的庞大项目 " 原始 "，特别是一些被催眠的青年睡在一个时间机器中的场景。此件作品曾于 2016 年在英国伦敦泰特现代美术馆“阿彼察邦·韦拉斯哈古之夜“，日本东京都写真美术馆以及开始于同年的全球巡回个展“狂中之静”中展出。

两个在小型敞篷火车中的年轻人正在彼此拍摄。分属于世界的不同地区，通过摄影机他们发掘彼此。大风的天气里，他们拉上车顶继续拍摄。就这样一点接一点，他们完整地记录了自己的生活。随着镜头的移动，一大片麦田和一组摄制人员进入了他们的视线。接着摄像机又再一次拍摄了道路和人们，就好像他们是一场电影拍摄现场的见证者一样。当摄影机再一次回到两个主角中那个浑身布满纹身的年轻人身上时，面对着伸向他的麦克风，这个年轻人扯起衬衫，擦了擦自己眼角流下的泪水。

In The Pilgrim Kamanita, a Buddhist novel written in 1906 by the Danish writer Karl Gjellerup, the protagonists are reborn as two stars and take centuries to recite their stories to each other, until they no longer exist.
Morakot is a derelict and defunct hotel in the heart of Bangkok that opened its doors in the 1980's: a time when Thailand shifted gears into accelerated economic industrialization and a time when Cambodians poured into Thai refugee camps after the invasion of Vietnamese forces. It was a hosting time. Later, when the East Asian financial crisis struck in 1997, these reveries collapsed.
Like Kamanita, the unchanged Morakot is a star burdened with (or fueled by) memories. Apichatpong collaborated with his three regular actors, who recounted their dreams, hometown life, bad moments, and love poems, to re-supply the hotel with new memories.

一行人坐着一艘船漂流在流经泰国与老挝边境的湄公河上，迎着风前行。在河的中央，女主人将骨灰撒进了河中，灰白色的粉末在河水中消逝。船在两国边境处调转头，船上的人尽力将船划回自己的世界。

在泰国，电影上映之前，都要播放一段短片，以祭神或赞美泰皇以保佑放映平安。
“赞美诗”因此得名
阿彼察邦的《赞美诗》中，便利用了电影的两种属性：静止和运动。它们不合时宜地出现，组成了一个影像装置，并以此向“电影之神”为他即将到来的作品祈福

继陈哲艺、毕赣之后，「金马53年度广告」推出由本届「年度台湾杰出电影工作者」得主赵德胤执导的最终篇。赵德胤把最新的360度VR全景拍摄技术，用来重现侯孝贤1986年经典《恋恋风尘》的一场戏，柯震东与吴可熙跨越时代、回到主角纯朴的生活情态，穿著制服背著书包走在回家的路上。影片看似平实无奇，但观众可以可以用鼠标上下左右游动，选择与主角同行，或者远望他们背影，也可以鸟瞰、仰视，身历其境。然后打算下部拍科幻片的赵德胤在这裡加了个「不速之客」，眼尖的观众会发现竟有飞碟「乱入」。

本次“金马53”年度广告邀请到赵德胤、陈哲艺、毕赣三位新导演分别拍摄，目前陈哲艺执导的部分已经出炉。短片中，张震回到当年拍摄《牯岭街杀人事件》的场景，并在黑板写下“小四，谢谢爱电影的你”

一群逃离家庭来到丛林中寻找灵魂树的追寻者们，晚上他们唱起了一首歌，关于纯洁的爱和追求幸福的歌。这是一部实验电影，导演邀请了他的朋友Pimpaka Towira白天拍摄爱情故事，晚上则拍摄这首歌。

影片记录了一个被称为Panyi的南部岛屿的风景，充满隐喻色彩。

第53届金马奖形象短片之二——毕赣篇
去年以《路边野餐》一鸣惊人、勇夺金马奖最佳新导演的毕赣，回到故乡贵州凯里拍摄，并找来偶像侯孝贤的子弟兵、亦是金马奖得主姚宏易来掌镜，用16mm摄影机打造出“日常奇迹”的感动。
何谓“日常奇迹”？毕赣说他的“日常奇迹”很多，举凡孩子 出生、汽车突然能发动、太阳落山、或著饭煮熟了都是。而他对影展的形容也很奇妙：“影展就像是一个有品味的餐厅，然后这支广告像是这个餐厅的花园，裡面应该有鸟叫与花香，然后我要偷偷地放一把椅子进去，让入场的观众可以坐一坐。”
毕赣在《路边野餐》有个超过40分钟、技惊四座的长镜头。这是他第一次拍广告，他很开心终于可以拍一个“特别短”的电影。结果，原定交件长度是不超过60秒，他毫无意外还是不小心“超时”了。但这支魔幻又诗意的广告，却让看过的人无不惊呼意犹未尽，期待能有延伸为一部电影的机会，甚至臆测这会不会是他下一部作品的“线索”。而这次除了毕赣的招牌诗句，歌曲方面则选用了毕晓世创作、杨钰莹演唱的〈轻轻地告诉你〉。
与另外两位导演赵德胤、陈哲艺分别完成“金马53”年度广告，毕赣高兴地说：“这就像是三个人在同一个邮局写信，然后悄悄地寄给不同的人。”
这回答还真像他的电影。

2010年由毕赣导演、编剧的短片《南方》获广播影视学院学生影展最佳影片。
毕赣在学校第一次拍作业完成的短片《南方》，参加校内影展获得金奖，之后很多同学找他合作，他因此认识了低一届的贵州老乡梁凯。
毕赣还曾客串梁凯主演的短片《冬至》，在影片中饰演比赛的评委之一。
