Blackstar (stylised as ★) is the upcoming 25th studio album by David Bowie scheduled to be released on 8 January 2016, the date of Bowie's 69th birthday. The album will feature seven songs and the title track is scheduled to be released as a single on 20 November 2015. The track will be used as the opening music for the television series The Last Panthers.
The album artwork was releaved through a video posted on Facebook on 18 November 2015.

Earthling is the twentieth studio album by David Bowie released in February 1997 via BMG Records. The album showcases an electronica-influenced sound partly inspired by the industrial and drum and bass culture of the 1990s. This was the first album Bowie self-produced since his 1974 album Diamond Dogs. Shortly after the release of this album, Bowie received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Buddha of Suburbia was David Bowie's 19th full studio album released in 1993. Asked to write and perform the music for the BBC2 mini series, although classified as a soundtrack, only the title track on the album was featured in the programme itself. The television adaptation of 1990 book, written by Hanif Kureishi, The Buddha of Suburbia is a (semi) autobiographical tale featuring Karim - a South London teenager desperate to escape the suburbs which confine him. Kureishi at the time was already well known for his screenplay of 'My Beautiful Launderette', the 1985 film which centered on issues of sexuality, race and class in volatile 1980's Britain.

Let's Dance is the fifteenth studio album by David Bowie. Co-produced by Chic's Nile Rodgers, the album contained three of his most successful singles; the title track, "Let's Dance", which reached No. 1 in the UK, US and various other countries, as well as "Modern Love" and "China Girl", which both reached No. 2 in the UK. "China Girl" was a new version of a song which Bowie had co-written with Iggy Pop for the latter's 1977 album The Idiot. It also contains a re-recorded version of the song "Cat People (Putting Out Fire)", which had been a minor hit for Bowie a year earlier.
