2006年6月6日，窒息乐队进入位于柳芳的亚洲第一环保录音棚——喜鹊录音棚录制自己的首张专辑，出众的实力与高质量的录音效果使这张专辑的水准有了更高的起点。两个月后专辑前期录制完成，共收录乐队十首作品与一首演奏曲。8月10日进入后期缩混，并于9月初送往德国作最后的母带处理。期间，乐队接受了《重型音乐》、《极端音乐》、《现代乐手》、吉他中国、丝忆吉他、腾讯摇滚频道、搜狐摇滚等多家平面媒体与网站的专访，乐队也透露了许多关于专辑录制的具体消息。10月底母带回国作最后的整体制作，在此期间乐队拍摄了宣传照并开始进行封面及专辑内页设计，乐队相关纪念品也在同一时间开始发售。乐队在专辑录制的过程中也未停止一切演出活动，陆续参加了“《重型音乐》创刊六周年庆典”，“太原专场演唱会”，“成都西部力量音乐节”，“北京摇滚啤酒节”，“13金属音乐节”，“群英会天津音乐节”，“《记录金属》摇滚现场”等规模盛大的一系列演出，成熟的作品与极具煽动力的表演使他们成为公认的最佳金属乐队现场。
