Myristica’s follow-up album to 'Little Oak' is dedicated to her Father, who spent many years in the Royal Navy. This album is her musical interpretation of his memories at sea as a young sailor, thousands of miles away from home.
Through her melodious piano vignettes and ambient soundscapes, Myristica translates her Father's tales of beautiful sunsets, the friendships he made, and the experiences he gained while sailing around the world.
Guest artists include mulit-instrumentalist, Phil Thornton, and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra's Chris Philpotts.
Here's what other listeners think of the album:
"Beautiful and transcendent. Her best yet" ~ John Murphy, Composer Sunshine, 28 Days Later, Kick Ass, Lock, Stock) Los Angeles.
"The new release by Myristica titled Waiting For Yesterday is modern piano instrumental music you will find simply breathtaking. In many respects, the artist Mei-Ling is a step above many of today's producers in the genre."
