明蒂-阿拜小姐是美国当今爵士、摇滚乐坛顶尖高手之一。她的专辑《It Just Happens That Way》在2003美国爵士周排行榜上，力压Kenny G等高手，盘踞第一近一年之久。对她的采访讲叙了他成长过程和一些心得。

Unlike popular and classical music publishers, who typically own less than 50 percent of the copyright in a composition, music production libraries own all of the copyrights of their music, meaning that it can be licensed without seeking the composer's permission, as is necessary in licensing music from normal publishers. This is because virtually all music created for music libraries is done on a work for hire basis. Production music is therefore a convenient solution for media producers—they can be assured that they will be able to license any piece of music in the library at a reasonable rate, whereas a specially commissioned work could be prohibitively expensive; similarly, licensing a well-known piece of popular music could cost anywhere from tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars, depending on the prominence of the performer/s.
Production music libraries will typically offer a broad range of musical styles and genres, enabling producers and editors to find much of what they need in the same library. Music libraries vary in size from a few hundred tracks up to many thousands. The first production music library was setup by De Wolfe Music in 1927 with the advent of sound in film, the company originally scored music for use in silent film[1].
Library music is frequently used as theme and/or background music in radio, film and television. Well-known examples of British TV series whose themes were sourced from library catalogues include Ski Sunday ("Pop Looks Bach" by Sam Fonteyn), Dave Allen At Large ("Studio 69" by Alan Hawkshaw), Mastermind ("Approaching Menace" by Neil Richardson), the original theme for the BBC's Grandstand ("News Scoop" by Len Stevens), Crimewatch ("Rescue Helicopter" by John Cameron) and Grange Hill ("Chicken Man" by Alan Hawkshaw). Arthur Wood's "Barwick Green", written in 1924, still serves as the theme for long-running BBC Radio soap The Archers. TV comedy series such as The Benny Hill Show and Monty Python's Flying Circus also made extensive use of production library cues (many sourced from the De Wolfe catalogue)[2] as background or incidental music.
American television has also utilized British library music, most notably with the themes for Monday Night Football ("Heavy Action" by Johnny Pearson) and The People's Court ("The Big One" by Alan Tew). Another notable example is the Nickelodeon animated series The Ren and Stimpy Show, which used both well-known classical music excerpts and a wide range of pre-1960's production music cues -- including many pieces familiar from their use in earlier cartoons -- which were chosen for their ironic and humorous effect.
Library music composers and session performers typically work anonymously and have rarely become known outside their own professional circle. However in recent years some veteran composer-performers in this field such as Alan Hawkshaw, John Cameron and Keith Mansfield have achieved cult status as a result of a new interest in production music of the 1960s and 1970s, notably the 'beat' and electronica cues recorded for KPM and other labels, which have been widely sampled by DJs and record producers. In recent years some of these British musicians have given public performances of their classic compositions under the group name KPM Allstars[3].

Jami Soul - Everybody Loves Me
2009년 싱글 앨범에 이어 2010년 10월 Jami Soul 의 EP앨범 "Everybody Loves Me"가 우리 곁으로 찾아왔다. Jami Soul은 원맨프로젝트 밴드로 주인공인 Jami 가 직접 프로듀서, 작곡, 작사, 편곡, 연주까지 모두 맡아 만들어진 앨범이다. Jami는 국내에서 이미 섹소폰 연주자로 많은 활동을 해왔고, 국내 유명가수들과 많은 작업들을 해왔다. 실력파 연주자로 인정받아온 그는 이제 본인의 앨범을 통해서 많은 음악들을 공개해 나아갈 것이다.
"Everybody Loves Me"라는 이번 Jami Soul의 앨범은 사랑에 관한 여러 가지 감정들과 상황들을 풀이해놓은 작품이다.
첫 번째 곡인 'Easy Come Easy Go' 는 Jami의 섹소폰 연주 곡으로써, 신나고 경쾌하게 시작되는 곡이다. 제목에서도 알 수 있듯이 인간의 만남과 헤어짐, 삶과 죽음, 시작과 끝 등을 주제로 만들어진 트랙이며, 리듬비트와 섹소폰의 조화가 잘 어우러지고 무엇보다도 간결하면서도 임팩트 있는 섹소폰 멜로디가 사운드를 꽉 채우고 있다.
'Casual Love' 는 연인관계인 남녀의 에피소드를 이야기하는 곡이다. 자유분방하면서도 바람 끼 많은 여자와 그로 인해 마음 고생하는 남자친구의 심정을 드러낸 곡으로써, 신인보컬 이오와 랩퍼 Jay.M 이 객원으로 참여했다. 마지막 부분에 Jami 의 힘있고 화려한 섹소폰 에드립은 그의 면모를 확인 할 수 있는 부분이다.
'Love and Soul' 은 감미로운 섹소폰 멜로디와 랩이 주고받듯이 진행되는 슬픈 곡이며, 흔히 볼 수 없는 형식의 곡이다. 사랑하는 여자친구를 두고 먼저 세상을 떠난 남자가 영혼으로 돌아와 여자에게 이야기하는 내용으로써 이세상에서 이루지 못한 두 사람의 사랑이 죽은 후에도 서로를 그리워하며 가슴 아파하는 내용이다. 후반부의 섹소폰 에드립은 이 곡의 슬픈 감정을 더 가슴 벅차게 끌어올리는 역할을 분명히 하고 있다.
'러블리' 는 이제 막 사랑을 시작하려는 남녀의 모습을 설레 이고 달콤하게 표현한 곡이다. 객원보컬 이오와 Jami 의 Voice가 제목처럼 러블리 하게 잘 담겨져 있다. 노래만 들어도 사랑을 하고 싶은 생각이 들 수 있도록 하는 곡이다.
'Missing You' 는 섹소폰 연주 곡으로써 편안한 템포에 부드러우면서도 힘있고 감미로운 곡이다. 눈을 감고 들으면 Jami의 소프라노 섹소폰 연주가 누군가를 그리워하는 마음으로 우리들 감성에 스며드는 연주 곡 이다.
기존의 섹소폰 연주자들 앨범과는 틀리게 좀더 대중과 친숙한 장르와 사운드, 그리고 보컬과 랩, 섹소폰의 적절한 조화로 연주곡만 수록 했을 때의 지루함을 모두 없애고 첫 번째 트랙부터 마지막 트랙까지 다양하고 흥미 있게 들을 수 있는 앨범이다.

This arrangement was actually written before ThePianoGuys posted our first video “Michael Meets Mozart” -- but we hesitated filming it because of how involved the idea was. We’ve never used “extras” before! And the thought of staging a wedding, directing extras, and cloning Steve 4 times all in one video-shoot made us justifiably anxious. So we put it off. And put it off. And then put if off some more. One day Al van der Beek was skimming through our thousands of messages on Facebook and happened to see one with the title “wedding” in the subject line. A woman had emailed us about an opportunity to film at a big magazine-spread wedding photo shoot. It was perfect--they would have the location, flowers, actors, and even a cake. Everything we’d need. To make a long story short, we excitedly scheduled our video shoot for the same day as their photo shoot, but a few days prior to the day it fell apart. After much discussion we determined to move forward on faith that we could still work it out. Paul Anderson marshalled all sorts of connections and called on whomever he could and by nothing short of a miracle in a matter of days the wedding was all planned -- complete with a beautiful location, stunning decor, sharp tuxedos, fancy flowers, a photogenic bride and groom, 60 energetic guests, and an iced cake!
