A new Méliès discovery, presented for the first time in Pordenone. The Brahmin, Iftikar, who enjoys a great reputation in India, has determined to create something miraculous which will place the seal upon his renown. He sows some seeds upon a carpet, prostrates himself, and in the course of his invocations, in less than an instant, the grains germinate. A small rosebush grows and produces beautiful roses. Aided by his servant, the Brahmin makes of them a magnificent bouquet, which is changed into a single enormous rose. The flower spreads out its petals and from its centre there darts forth a lovely young woman, whom the Brahmin strives to embrace. But she eludes him and dances a fascinating serpentine dance. She disappears, and the rosebush takes her place. Iftikar destroys the rosebush, and he confesses himself vanquished, for he has been able to create, but not to preserve.

In this subject a "comique eccentric" enters the drawing room inhabited by spirits. He tries to take off his coat and hat, but these garments return to his head and shoulders as soon as he takes them off. The chairs, his umbrella, his hat, etc., fly away in different directions and by various methods.

博学的天文学教授（Georges Méliès 乔治•梅里爱 饰）正在给学生们上课，但调皮的学生无心听讲，一心打闹、捉弄老师。教授对此无计可施。
正争吵间，天空忽然变暗，教授连忙跑上阁楼，通过望远镜他看到了奇妙的一幕：一个女性的月亮正朝着男性的太阳靠近，继而重合，形成一次美妙的日食。俄而天空出现星斗，神仙、仙女坐在星星上飞来飞去，或者谈笑，或者吵闹，好不惬意。接着又出现精彩的流星雨景观，仙女们自天空中纷纷落下。老教授看得出神，一不留神自阳台栽下，吓坏了学生和助手……

Two impish clowns construct a magic lantern. They prop it up at an angle, and use it to project pictures onto a wall. When the picture show ends, they open up the lantern to reveal a group of dancing girls inside - and this is only the first of the indications that this lantern really is magical.

The plot follows King Edward VII and President Armand Fallières dreaming of building a tunnel under the English Channel.

The leader of a marching band demonstrates an unusual way of writing music.

A Chinese conjurer stands next to a table, it becomes two tables. A fan becomes a parasol, lanterns appear and disappear. The conjurer spins the open parasol in front of himself, and a dog leaps out from behind it. The dog becomes a woman, then a second woman appears. The conjurer sits them each on a box a few feet apart: suddenly the women have changed places. The disappearing and the transfers continue in front of a simple backdrop.

大胡子房客和调皮的黑色魔鬼之间的战争

一文不名的流浪歌手请巫婆（Georges Méliès 乔治•梅里爱 饰）帮自己算命，巫婆在镜中显现了歌手未来妻子的样子——一位被怪兽囚禁的美丽公主。歌手大喜过望，但他无力承担巫婆的高价费用，只得用一袋沙子冒充金沙蒙骗巫婆。愤怒的巫婆决意报复，走投无路的歌手还要应付路上的鬼魂和各种怪物，不堪其扰。关键时刻得到神灵的相助，冲进城堡救出公主。
正当两人喘息之时，巫婆找到歌手，意欲报复。千钧一发之刻，神灵再次出现，杀死巫婆和追赶公主的魔鬼。歌手和公主终于获救，从此幸福地生活在一起。

这才是梅里爱现存第一部彩蜡stencil染色片（作品编号95），而不是Le Château hanté（作品编号96），后者豆瓣评论区都说是第一部染色，这个错误也正常，因为作品95是后来才被发现并被修复后收入新碟Melies Encore，以前被认为是lost film，而在新碟出现或还未广泛推广、被做成rip在各大视频站起到普及作用前，原先的5碟版本中作品96确实是第一部染色。

Un groupe de soldats se réfugie dans une maison en ruine. Certains sont envoyés faire le guet, d’autres scrutent le sol et rassemblent des munitions. Alors qu’ils tirent leurs dernières cartouches, la maison est bombardée. Méliès reproduit ici le célèbre tableau éponyme d’Alphonse de Neuville.
