怎么说呢，Graveworm这样没什么原创性的乐队，玩到底也就是旋律黑+旋律死+歌特，上手容易但真正出彩还是很要花点心思的。成熟和饱满的编排，流畅的旋律又不可失却攻击性，做到这些应该是最基本的，就比谁掌握得更好，而且能在这个基础上再出点新意。《As The Angels Reach The Beauty》应该说很成功的做到了以上的所有，说不上出类拔萃，但的确是让人眼前一亮了。
音乐上，比前作结构成熟了很多，由于速度的加快和氛围化的减少，因此感觉比以前更富攻击力。黑死腔的穿插调度越发得心应手，而其中更富表现力的黑腔比例似乎更多。除了这些基本元素，专辑中还有不少独特的亮点，其中最出彩的就是苏格兰风笛了。第一首和第三首都用到了风笛，但是带来的意境竟完全不同，值得细细体味。“Pandemonium ”的鼓和“Graveyard Of Angels”的提琴，都给我们带来了点新意。

Sensational sales figures, almost a cult status amongst their fans all over the world, sold-out shows, high chart positions and thrilling performances at almost every important European metal Festival: The Italian formation Rhapsody, with their three previously released albums, Legendary Tales (1997), Symphony Of Enchanted Lands (1998) and Dawn Of Victory (2000) as well as the speciallly priced Album, Rain Of A Thousand Flames released last Autumn, has been able to create a totally new and unique style called 'Hollywood Metal' and to fascinate fans all over the world with it.

Power Of The Dragonflame, their fourth full length album is another episode of the exciting Emerald Sword saga and one which brings the saga to an end. Power Of The Dragonflame took form in familiar surroundings, namely in the Wolfsburg 'Gate Studios` with Sascha Paeth and Miro, themselves experienced musicians (Heavens Gate, Virgo etc) and who have been closely tied to the success of the Italian band since the beginning of Rhapsody's career. Similar to their previous releases, the musicians Luca Turilli (guitar), Alessandro Staropoli (keyboards), Fabio Lione (vocals) and Alex Holzwarth (drums) let off a spectacular firework display of ideas, showing themselves not only as heavy, fast and aggressive, but also epic and orchestral. After the sensitive intro, 'In Tenebris' and exciting tracks such as 'Knightrider Of Doom`, 'The March Of The Swordmaster' and 'Steelgods Of The Last Apocalypse' the album culminates in the closing, over 19 minute long 'Gargoyles, Angels Of Darkness', which begins with a calm acoustic guitar prologue, accelerates in typical Rhapsody fashion and which includes the expressive, unusually theatrical voice of singer Fabio Lione. 'Gargoyles, Angels Of Darkness' combines all of the band's strengths: their rhythmic finesse, their epic basic structures and the hymn-like vocals.

Vittorio Vandelli is a talented guitarist and composer. His first soloist album, 'A Day of warm Rain in Heaven', transposes into music the poetical imaginary of 'The rhyme of the ancient mariner', the romantic opus of S.T. Coleridge. The music presents a contemporary style but the words belong to the first half of the XIXth century. The rhyme describes the perillous voyage of a sailorman becoming an odissey through sin, death and re-birth until the achievement of wisdom, a status closely related to pain and sadness as we become aware of our tragic human condition. The trip of the protagonist reflects Vittorio's existential experience, a deep spiritual experience that each of us could be called to live. The ability to sublimate all of this into music seems to be the only way to fight the tempest and survive the storming sea, and it is a precious gift that destiny has accorded to artists.
In this album, the music is ravishing and various, yet a sense of unity prevails : ambient tunes (where classic guitar arpeggios meet environment sounds) alternate with timeless ballads; short industrial moments precede ethereal compositions; soft-electronic episodes follow hypnotic lullabies and atmospheric instrumental airs introduce moving sonatas in his unique style. Vittorio plays classic, acoustic, electric and synth guitars together with keyboards pads and rhytmical patterns. He felt the urge to follow the creative processus from the beginning to the end starting from the musical idea, passing through execution and finally reaching recording and mixing.
'A Day of warm Rain in Heaven' features Francesca Nicoli on vocals who, thanks to her peculiar talent and artistic personality, has been able to confer even more pathos and strenght to the textures of notes. Her vocal work is the result of a sudden enlightenment after the very first listening of the tracks.
